When they say it's Plug and Play, do they mean every factory connector is plugged into the Dasaita?

Just curious, why are you selling? What are you going to replace it with?

No splicing or cutting, connector to connector. However, you may have more connectors from Dasaita, but you won't need or use them. And you may have connections from your Tundra that won't connect, but you may be able to purchase adapters(ie, microphone, gps, sirius). Keep in mind it may be different for the trim level you have.
For me, Dasaita sent me all the wires harnesses I needed. Except I had to use their GPS and their microphone, no biggie. But I didn't have to splice any wires. Hope this helps

You're right, that did the trick! This HU is pretty nice. Thank you

FYI, for those with a similar setup: 2018 CM 1794 w/JBL.
I initially installed the Taco tunes setup, the starter 1 kit with all 4 door components setup.
When installing this HU, it does come with everything you need, except you either use the Dasaita GPS module or you buy your own adapter. And, you use the Dasaita mic or figure out how to tap into the stock mic.
I initially had sound distortion/ static, so I moved my dasaita ground wire to where my amp wire was, under my passenger seat (thanks 916Tundra for tip). That did the trick.
I also removed the Recurve (EQ) and the stock amp, since this bad boy has a built in DSP. Now my system sounds great and I can now control the mids and highs (you can't do that when you go the Recurve and stock amp route).
It's still early, but so far, this HU is fantastic!

I def agree, this unit is amazing! I had a 6 hour drive each way this week and it was great to have Youtube TV on and football playing! I didn't tap the factory mic, I heard it was a pain in the butt. I def wish the mic they supplied was better, this one is rough sounding on the other end and I have it mounted by the steering wheel.

Anyone having connection issues with hotspot on their phone? I have an Iphone 11 Pro Max and it constantly disconnects and won't reconnect. Ipad Pro works perfectly though...

I have pulled the trigger on this unit and anxiously awaiting the arrival. One thing I have not seen addressed in this thread is how the USB in the center console hooks up. I am assuming it comes from the head unit, but maybe not?

You mean under the ac controls? That you need an adapter for. Listed on first page but it's Metra AX-TOYUSB-2 for 2014+ trucks.

I have the adaptor for that one, but I also have a USB in the storage box between the front seats and I don’t know where that one comes from.

Ok So I just got that unit in the mail today and it looks really nice. The only thing so far right out of the box is how to mount it. It has the two tabs at the top, but no mounts for the 4 bolts. Does anyone know if the factory mounts will work?

I didn't keep my GPS, decided to just use the Dasaita GPS module. But I read that you need both,

    If anyone here can help.
I started research on Dasaita and my head is spinning

    2018 SR5 Crew
    1) My NON JBL head unit with center speaker and GPS antenna but non GPS premium headhunt.
    2) I have front camera from beat sonic with switch and harness that I wish to keep
    3) Would love to keep my rear OEM camera
    4) I do have a roof GPS antenna.
    5) My amplifier is upgraded. Alpine KTP 445 little power pack. However I am using OEM wiring spliced into Alpine harness at the amplifier.
    6) My speakers are all upgraded but using OEM wiring. So I must retain all OEM harness from head unit.

Can any one provide a list of things i need to complete this install.
What I have got so far.
    1) Metra 95-8246HG Toyota Tundra 2014-UP DDIN (High Gloss Black)
    2) Metra AX-TOYUSB-2 2010-Up Toyota USB Adaptor
    3) DGZZI 2-Pack RF Coaxial Adapter SMA to SMB Coax Jack Connector SMA Male to SMB Male
    4) Maestro Acc-SAT-TO2 Sat Radio and GPS Antenna adaptors for TO2 Vehicles

What harness do I need and where do you get one for non JBL Gen 3?

first I need to pick what headhunt is best

For the cameras, these units have both front and rear inputs. If you want to keep the external switch just keep the head unit on rear so it uses the factory wiring. The roof antenna is actually the SiriusXM, the GPS is under the center speaker grill. Other than that you should be good. The amp makes no difference as long as it's using factory wiring to the radio.

Going to get this installed tomorrow by a local shop. I've read through the entire thread and have made a couple of notes:
-Run the ground cable to the grounding point near the factory amp to avoid the static noise coming out of the speakers when nothing is playing
-Mount the GPS antenna to the round metal frame crossbar to have the best amplified signal

Anything else important that i am missing to tell the shop tomorrow before the install?

I just purchased kameleon's dasaita stereo.
Now wondering if I sh0uld keep my Alpine amplifier or bypass it.
    Alpine KTP-445U - 45 watts x 4 at 4 ohms each

    Dasaita head unit is 50w x 4.

Also Front Dash speakers are not powered by the amp.
They are powered by the head unit.

What a cluster and a head scratcher this is.

Keep the amp, the headunit is 50wx4 PEAK. I am willing to bet the amp is 45wx4 RMS.

Is anyone else having issues with the lighting? Mine doesn't auto dim. I've messed with the settings, but when it gets dark out, the screen stays bright and doesn't auto dim.

Even when it does "dim" it is not much. It is a known issue though. If you need something dimmer than what you get stock use the Screen Filter app from play store to make the screen darker at night. Here is a link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.haxor It gives you a floating bubble to activate if you want.
