Yes! I liked it there more than Yellowstone.

I did the same and felt the same way. We liked the guysers in Yellowstone. Didn't like the 435 people per square inch. Tetons were the jewel of my trip out there as well.

How many of you RTT folks leave them on full time?

Definitely on my 'want' list
I'm not so much worried about bed usability as I am the tent growing legs and walking off...
I have security nuts showing up tomorrow and would like to just leave the damn thing on there semi-permanently.

Good idea to use lock nuts and maybe thread lock then. Ask Warren @831Tun his RTT did cartwheels on the trail!

our rack is low enough that just locking the tailgate keeps honest people honest.
Security nuts will be a good addition. Anyone who wants them bad enough will get them, but adding some security here and there makes for good peace of mind.

Yeah, I'm of the same mindset. I mean if someone is motivated enough, they could just take the rack and tent in one shot rather than trying to separate the two...

they’re worth every penny. We’re thinking of getting 6 more and replacing our three larger Rubbermaid ones. They’re the perfect size that you don’t have to dig through them to find stuff. If you cut the latches off and stack them, the lid of the lower box sticks to the bottom of the upper box, so just lifting one box off another opens the bottom box.

But the combination is heavy and awkward.
Might want to thread lock the S-nuts to your bed rail that attaches the bed rack. Mine fell in the bed in Mojave!

Ooooohhhh good idea!! Yeah been looking at better storage solutions to the Rubbermaid, that can strap in without warping and bending, cracking.

Agreed! The tent is about 100ish pounds, and the rack is likely another 100. Plus the bulkiness of the two together might dissuade most.
I'm gonna get security bolts for where the rack ties into the bed rails, and when I do I will throw some thread lock on too!
I also have some rubber to cut and put under the feet of the bed rack to help with vibration.

Did a last minute overnight camp at Guadalupe River State Park with my 6 year old daughter. I'm not a pro at this but I get better each trip. First upgrade is in a tent. This cheap walmart tent is super roomy and works just fine but the quick up/down of the Gazelle has me tempted!

Could you guys recommend a tire/rim set up for Overlanding and light off roading? I was told my current tire/rim set up would be bad for airing tires down and off roading. I’m looking to find a 17” rim and tire combo used for summer Overlanding trips. Thanks in Advance!
