Not with the LEDs themselves, but you can pick up some Amber Lamin-X and apply it to the lens on the light bar to not only guard the lens, but also to alter the color to a Yellow/Amber color. :)

Just spit-balling some ideas and confirmations...so, I recently installed my 2018 LED headlights...my truck form the factory did NOT come with the LED DRLs on the OE headlights, but the new headlights do now have this setup...I love them...I used an iHacker harness and made all the connections to ensure the "proper" use of the headlights as such from the factory.

I also installed the NSV light bar this weekend but still have some wiring to complete and finish, thus the reason for this post:

Everything is wired up and t-tapped accordingly to work...things I need to complete are the assumed jumper cable off the OE blue wires so my NSV DRLs work accordingly...would this jumper between the NSV and 2018 OE LED Headlights cause my buttons on the inside that are spliced to the trailer brake harness be the reason why nothing works...like the illumination of the new buttons? My factory inserted USB connection is connected correctly and works, but nothing else is working...? Would the final jumper cable splice for proper DRL function on the NSV light bar be the reason why none of the "new" buttons on the NSV switch panel aren't working?

Thanks in advance...I'm not sure how easy this seemingly simple task might be...

    @Headlight Revolution
I purchased this from your a couple years ago, just wondering if you know of a way to wire in an "off" switch for the DRLs? Got pulled over the other day and was told that "I cannot have lights above the headlight unless they are amber". So before the same cop picks me up again, I figure I'd better investigate a way. Do you know which wire I could splice in a switch to turn off the DRLs?

I'm assuming the newer revision of the NSV lightbar does this already...as in, there is a DRL switch now in-lieu of the Strobe switch...so my assumption is the DRL switch can now toggle the DRL function on/off at the user's discretion...am I wrong to assume this?!

Correct I have a Gen1, and has the strobe feature. Just want to confirm the wire I need to tap in a relay to control the on/off function of the DRL. Would like to maintain the strobe function (when on).

I think it's the purple wire from what I've read...or moving (within the 12 pin connector in the light bar) pin 3 to pin 8...at least, that's how the Gen 2/3 version of the NSV lightbar is suggesting...

I have my lightbar all wired up and installed along with the switch panel from NSV...amazing quality and instructions if your truck is OEM...I have installed 2018 LED Headlights with iHacker's harness prior to the installation of the NSV but now, since installing he NSV lightbar, I now have no lightbar function, no power to the switches, no power to the "upgraded" NSV USB plug OR TAILLIGHTS!! Now that all driving being done is in complete or near complete darkness, the need for the taillights is paramount in not getting others and myself into trouble when driving. Any ideas what might be causing this complete dead-lock on the light bar function? I have not created the jumper from blue to purple with the 2018 LED headlights but don't think that is why nothing works so I haven't done that yet. I went through the whole wiring and the pinouts on the harness connectors and didn't see anything outside of what the instructions stated to complete. The only thing I might be thinking for why the switches have no power is that I don't have the factory brake controller and have the Tekonsha brake controller installed above my parking brake...would this be a possible cause to why no power is reaching the switches? I t-tapped the blue wire to the OE green on the brake controller harness behind the factory location of the brake controller and the red/white wire to the OE yellow wire as suggested in the instructions...even the upgraded USB port int he NSV switch panel doesn't work while the OE USB/Media port does work...I checked all fuses under the hood but I couldn't find the panel/fuse block that houses the taillights...is that an interior panel I need to double-check? Plllleeeaaassseee help me figure this out...I sent a note to Headlight Revolutions 5 days ago as well as this morning and haven't received confirmation or a response to my matters...They have been great on everything else but I need some ideas or answers to what I might need to confirm or re-do...any help is greatly appreciated!

I am very curious to see how this works out and what the result will be, as I am planning to have my nsv bar installed into my 2019 SR5 truck which has 2018 OEM LED lights and an iHacker harness next week. Please share how this resolves so I can avoid pit falls if possible!

Negative...I have taillight issues occurring that I want to get fixed prior to dealing with the NSV bar...it's installed...but I disconnected every connection to the truck to isolate any other issues...I have replaced fuses, relays, bulbs in the back and double-checked all connections at least three times...I am calling a shop to look at the no taillight issue I'm experiencing as I have no time right now to troubleshoot any further than I have already...once I have taillights in the rear (I still have brake and turns) I'll contact Jensen with NSV and get that figured out...

Thanks for the response. Sorry to hear about your troubles. I had to move my installation to hopefully next week (if not after Thanksgiving) so I wanted to check in just in case. I appreciate your time!

No problem! The install is easy with good instructions...just be EXTRA diligent on where you are putting in your pins...best advice I have...the worst part of the whole install is the firewall penetration...once you do that, the rest is fairly easy...I will keep everyone posted on my findings soon! My truck appointment for the taillight issues is next Tuesday so hopefully done by the end of the week...I HOPE it's sooner but we'll see...

Thanks for the advice. My light bar install just put on hold as I plowed a deer on the way home tonight. Front of the truck is a mess. On the plus side, if I had installed the nsv already it would have been totalled.

Definitely could’ve used that on the Kincade fire in Sonoma. Probably would’ve cut through the inversion layer some and kept Bambi’s ass alive..
Instead the illuminating hunger of the POS halogens on my 14’ forced a venison sandwich straight through my grill.

Ouch...glad you're alright! But just think...this is an opportunity for armor now! Regardless, its a great product and glad you didn't destroy it with the deer encounter!

Figured out the taillight issue...upon throwing in a new fuse under the dash for the taillights, I apparently didn't put both prongs into the slots...one was in, one wasn't...that was remedied and I now have taillights! Woohoo! I also noticed I had a popped cabin light fuse that once replaced, my USB additional output from NSV now works...now for the figuring on why these two fuses popped...more to report later this month work is gnarly right now so I will have time to do some figuring around Christmas...

If anyone has experience with these two fuses popping after attempting the NSV light bar install, that would be helpful! I'm thinking I have some reprinting to do...

I did have the battery disconnected when doing the installation. Currently I have the light bar and switch panel installed but all connections to battery and harnesses are disconnected as I was eliminating variables on taillight issue...everything went smooth but just didn't work...I must've grounded something out somewhere is my guess...

Okay, with the help of @mtTundra and some trial & error, we were able to figure out my issues with the light bar functions only working in reverse...Hallelujah we did it! Matt was gracious and we took apart his setup, removed his bar and hooked it into my harnesses to confirm the bar itself is working...and vise versa with hooking my bar into his harness...Where the instructions that came with my NSV bar state to t-tap into the trailer brake controller harness under the dash was where my issues found origin...if you use the HR provided YouTube video, just tapping BOTH leads into a 12v source will eliminate any issues I have experienced. My trailer brake controller harness does not use the OEM trailer brake controller and uses an aftermarket controller...the patch harness that goes from the OE controller to the factory harness is what is "assumed" in the NSV directions...I did not have this patch harness for the OE controller as I don't have the OE controller...thought there are like colors for the t-taps, they do not split and do the same thing...use the latest video's suggestion for a constant 12v source and it works...and it's amazing!

Thank you Matt - @mtTundra , for your help and thank you HR - @Headlight Revolution for your patience with me and the help as well! I am amazed at how much better of a light bar this is then I was expecting!

Been eyeing this bar for a while and finally ready to commit to purchasing. Still a bit pricey so wanted to see if there is a promo code or discount option anyone aware of. HR has holiday sale, but does not apply to this product...bummer.
