Forgot to mention the other lady in my life... She works for a living. 275-70r18 Toyo MTs. Lots louder, even without the siren on.

Thank you for your support! We have another Tundra as well, but it's pretty much a stock 2017 CM.

Hi everyone. Just got some Ridge Grappler 275 70 R18 for my Tundra. The place where I got my tires said to run them at 35psi each. I called Nitto and they told me 40psi front and 43psi rear. What's everyone think and what are you running yours at?

Nitto told me 38 F and 41 R. That looked and felt a little too low for me so I run 41 F and 45 R.

That's what worries me. Nitto telling me one thing yet telling someone else another..

What suspension setup? Any rubbing? Looking to put on similar tires to my steel wheels on stock non TRDOR suspension.

So it's guesswork on the suspension, because County Fleet did it and they could care less about longevity past the projected service life (which is up in June 2020). I know the rear has airbags that make it ride like a 1-ton, but let me tow the Search and Rescue ATV trailers. As for rubbing, I had some until they cut off part of the skid plate with a grinder wheel...

On a related note, I just realized this photo is with my last set of worn out tires. Tires last about 20,000 miles in line of work. I'll see if I can get a good picture of the Toyo MTs on it tomorrow. Sorry I'm no help on this truck, but my personal truck fits this thread and I only have rubbing at some unpredictable turn angle I've hit two times in two months and with no damage. Les Schwab Tire Center thinks I might be hitting the forward, passenger mud flap....but idk, because there's no damage.

    Tundra on,

How have they been in bad weather conditions?

They have eaten it up. The snow performance has been excellent! I have a thread on them and I will keep updating it on how they are performing and wearing.

that is my exact planned set up suspension wise only on a double cab. How are you liking the shocks?

I love them. My stock suspension had 86k on them with heavy towing use (rears were blown) so it was definitely time for an upgrade. All in all, for a 'daily driven work truck/rig' I feel as though I made the right choice. Very pleased with how the truck handles and no more bouncing around. Its not too high and essentially still 'feels stock' so highway driving was not affected at all. Tires have very minimal noise over stock, so pleased with that as well. I will say, I was having a lot of trouble getting rims/tires balanced from two different shops, but the truck is smooth as can be after roadforce (3 of them needed to be match mounted)

Super happy with it so far. Ride is better then I was expecting. I thought it was gonna be rough but not at all. She’s dirty right now. Working all weekend. I’ll get her cleaned up next week and post clean fresh pics with better lighting. Thanks for all the help. This forum is schweeet.

Just need the right lug nuts and these will be going on. Can never have enough 275/70 BFGs!2AB6510F-CAB8-409D-BC96-C298A49CAD3E.jpg

Update: Lost light as I finished putting them on. Very pleased with the understated look of these wheels. Still 100% stock for suspension. Will fix that shortly.

@jml403 do you happen to know what those wheels weigh?
They are a good looking wheel for sure!

Honesty, I didn’t weigh them and the specs are a range given in kg’s. I know they aren’t the lightest wheel by any means, but strong, and a solid pedigree. The folks at Mainline Overland could probably give you all the details, they were a pleasure to deal with too.

Thinking about General Grabber APT in 275/70r18. Anyone have these tires? I am stock, no lift and do not want a real aggressive AT. I also want to stay P rated.

Here's my ride, '14 SR5 4x4 with KO2 75/70/18s on stock wheels. Truck has 6112s top setting and 5160s with Toytec shackles at 1" in rear. The tire size rides nice, but I will be going up in size in the future
