I'm looking to wrap my chrome front and rear bumper end caps to black, specially code 202, the non-metallic paint. Does anyone have an experience with vinyl that most closely matches this?

I'm assuming its relatively easy to match. I am in-between Oracle 651 in Gloss Black and 3M 1080 in Gloss Black. I wanted to see if any of you have had good results with this vinyl or other brands. I have run Oracle previously on other cars and have been very happy with it. But i have no experience with 3M 1080.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks for reading.

It’s not a wrap, but Bumoer Shelz makes end caps that are permanent for relatively cheap. I think I paid about 125$ for a front set in 202 Black.

Which vinyl did you end up going with? Or did you go with the bumper caps route?
    Thanks!

I went with Bumper Shelz brand. Easy install. Perfect match. It’s funny, but just yesterday I was detailing the truck and thinking they were one of the best purchases I ever made. They look amazing.

Oracal 651 isn't the greatest to wrap with. I can't speak for color since I have only seen the 3m 1080 gloss black metallic, but it is the cleanest and quickest film I've wrapped with

If I'm uncertain on colors, I just get the little 3x5 samples; they're like 2 bucks

Thanks for the response guys! I’m still 50/50 caps or wrap. I’ll post pics after

I bought some 3M gloss Black which is a perfect match but i had a lot of difficulty wrapping the caps myself. I ended up plastidipping my caps black. Works well for me and has held up great. I'll probably upgrade to some Bumpershellz eventually.
