Hi al . I'm new here and have been reading every post I can but still had a few questions. I have a 2018 platinum CM and I want to lift/level it but still keep a bit of rake. I just ordered a set of Bilsteins 5100 adjustables for front and rear. I think I'm going with 1-2 coachbuilder shims on the front and probably a +2 shackles in the back, not sure if the +3 are better. I hope to fit 35s on it but know it will be tight. I'll do the cab mount chop if needed. Im not going to offroad it, it's a daily driver.

After all that my question is what offset do I need on the wheels if I want a little poke on the tires. I don't have flares on it but am thinking of doing so eventually. I would like a 20 inch rim so should I go with a 20x10 with a 0 offset? Or a -12? Basically if you could point me in the right direction for a setup with and without flares that will give me about and inch or so if poke/wheel stance that would be great.

Finally, any opinions on the best rims. I want a black rim with machining. I like the Fuel assaults but not how the spoke flare out so I might curb them. I was also looking at the TIS544.

I know, lots of questions but I really appreciate you guys even looking at this. Thanks in advance.

    Chris.

So stock offset is +50 to +60 depending on wheels/package. To fit 35s on a leveling kit, you can keep your offset around +20 on a 20x9 and clear without much issues....assuming about a 12" wide tire. Offset is a huge factor when determining fitment of larger tires and some overlook that. You could prob just do 5100's at top setting and leave rear stock and still throw 35s.

I run a 0 offset 18 inch wheel and 34's with Bushwacker flares and a ReadyLift 3/2 kit.

    this is stock tires 255-70 R18 on 18 x 9 +18 offset. no lift.
after this tires is gone, I'm going to get some bigger tire and level it.

I like the look of that. What width is the rim? Also what size tire? Thanks.

Sorry, one more question. If you had a 9 wide and a 10 wide wheel with the same offset would the 10 wide wheel stick out further?

I would not think so. My tires are 11.5 wide so I don't think it would make a difference on either a 9 inch or 10 inch wide wheel.
