Got the Tech 12volt remote start kit in yesterday. Super easy to install and program. Took about 40 minutes from start to finish. Watch the video included in the email and review the attached PDF instructions and it's a snap. Only had to cut one wire (TPMS). The programming took me a couple of tries but that was my fault for not understanding what to do.

For those who added the optional increased range wireless remotes, where did you locate it on the windshield and how difficult was it to route the wires?

Putting the shock paddles on this thread to revive it. Most posts here are 4-5 years old… are these options still applicable to a 2018 1794 edition? Looking to add a remote start. Since I’m a Texan, I get cold anytime the temp drops below 80 degrees, so wanting to have the Tundra warmed up in the mornings before I head off to work.

Hey! I'm in NM and the 22° mornings are enough to get me searching for a remote start for my '18 1794 too! I'm also a little concerned with the age of this thread....pre-covid vs post-covid supply and all.

Looks like our options (from this thread) are: https://www.12volt.solutions/produc...remote-start-kit-h-key?variant=32106860445799

    https://accessorides.com/products/r...18-plug-play-key-start?variant=12530314281017

I no longer an option on Tech12Volt.com for our

    Amazon assortment

    Best Buy or Local shops

    Happy hunting!

Then again, I have heard rumors that there are other threads and a search function on this site (which I haven't used so can't confirm.)

Compustar 4905s kit is what I got on my 14 from Best Buy and is still made. If you keep an eye out you can pick one up on sale. Some people poo poo Best Buy installers, but mine was fine. I do remember mine took forever to get shipped to the store when I bought it (Black Friday).
