I’m not even kidding. Of course me having to buy stuff as soon as it comes out doesn’t help.

I finally got to use it Christmas eve. No doubt dries much better that a regular towel. But since my Tundra isn't here yet, I washed my Corolla XRS. Hmmmm…..got my doubts about one being enough for a Tundra. It was pretty full of water after the XRS. Time will tell. But well worth the $$$. Thanks guys!!

I wouldn't have believed it would be even close to a PFM or really useable at all, but the video if promising. Not sure how soft it is or how much it absorbs without ringing but those small, semi wet areas it did well, like he said it's better than a waffle weave.

Hey, for $5.99, next time I am near a Harbor Freight, I'll give it a try. Pep Boys sale is $27.99 and Amazon is $37.62!!! Would you risk $5.99 to save over $30?? I mean the video makes it look good.
Also I have to say, not sure about a leaf blower. I be worried about dirt blowing around. But that is just me.

I was near a Harbor Freight and it was 48 degrees today (in Jan!). So I figured I go out and wash the Corolla. I dried half the car with the Griot's Garage PFM 25x30 towel and the other half with the Grants. While the price is attractive and it didn't do a bad job, I have to let you all know that it did NOT dry as well as the Griots towel. I guess you get what you pay for.

The only thing I will mention in I didn't wash the Grants before using. The Griots was. I will repeat this one more time. Also, the Grants did a better job than a regular towel. So buy what you think is best.

I have to add a confession to my post. I used both sides for drying. I think the dark side gray is for drying. The litght gray for something else. Who ever thought you had to read directions to use a towel?

So, I haven't dug deep into detailing info in a long time.......does no-one use a chamois anymore for drying? I have used "The Absorber" synthetic chamois for a couple of years now. Seems to do a good job. But, with a nearly new car for the wife, and a new tundra being delivered next week, I'd like to know I am not using outdated methods....

I also usually go after it with a leaf blower after the chamois.....just to get all the water out of cracks and crevices.....

I used to use a chamois too. A chamois are supposed to scratch the paint. Heck, the new thing is to blow your car dry.

I don't know of anyone who uses a chamois any more. I'm a huge fan of the Griots PFM towel....and being notoriously cheap, it took a lot for me to spend 38.99 on one three years ago. I've never regretted the purchase

CRspotless....get it...use it.....haven't dried a car off in over 10+ years. Wash on average 2 cars a week.
