Probably best aggressive off-road tire I've ever owned!

They have amazing grip and are unexpectedly quiet on roads.

I did lose a little oomph when I went to 35's, but I'm so impressed with the look and performance that even though I should go back to 33's, I won't.

@Jbtaco2002 your Sequoia looks awesome! Good to see someone doing a nice build on one. We are on our second Sequoia, and they are fantastic vehicles.

I only ordered the grill part. Our Sequoia is a 2019, so it looks like the hood bulge is already the right one. Pretty pumped to get it in and install it. My wife really preferred the look of the Pro, but wanted the Platinum interior, so this will help give her the best of both worlds.

She’s wanting to get rid of as much chrome as possible, so next will be mirror caps and door handles. Unfortunately she has Blizzard Pearl, so I’ll have to get them painted. I also need to figure out what to do about the chrome strips down the sides.
We’ll likely eventually do the Pro fog lights. I’m really pushing to get the wheels and tires upgraded, but she’s wanting to wait until after Christmas.
    Audio really needs upgrading also.

So far the only mods I’ve done to it are led interior and puddle lights. (And Weathertech mats, but that’s really not a mod.) Once I get this grill done I’ll start my own build thread.

i'm looking forward to seeing the outcome! Pro grill is by far my favorite appearance mod so far!

i love my Sequoia as well and the fact that i bought it with the S/C for only $20k, but i have been in the newer models and i do kinda desire the amenities and improvements in tech that come with them, but not the price tag!!!! i like white too, but my wife is adamantly opposed to that color for some reason.

Got her grill in today. Now I need to look and see how they’re installed. Hopefully the swap will be as easy as the Tundra one is. Can’t find anywhere online where someone’s done the swap on a 2018 or later.

Be glad you just had to put the bulge on. It was a PITA getting it off the old grill.

    Looks great!!

Ya’ll are making me jealous! Still on my list, but now that I had a Tundra too, the wife’s rig might progress forward a little more slowly.

Agreed. My wife really got excited about it. It was dark, but I could see the white is clashing a lot against the Blizzard Pearl. I’ll have to take it back apart to get it painted, but I’m ordering some mirror caps also. I’ll get them all painted at once.

The swap would’ve taken 10-20 minutes if not for having to separate the bulge from the grill. That was a pain, especially since I was afraid of breaking it. Got done in under an hour, but that part was most of it.

By the way....I was 100% wrong when I told someone on here that the hood opens like the gen 3 Tundra. I guess the grill being in two pieces gave me that impression, and I hadn’t opened the hood since we first got it. Sorry for the misinformation.

Thanks for the update and confirmation. I think it was me you were saying that to in the other thread. Glad it see it on and it looks great. Can't tell from the pictures the different whites. I'm looking forward to do mine. Should come Saturday but I'm going to be away in Colorado for a few days

Since you’re replacing both pieces at once, it should be pretty easy. It’s a little tricky to pop the other one off at the “snap” type connection on the hood, but you don’t have to worry so much about breaking the old one either (unless you’re keeping it or selling it).

Looking to remove or repaint that big chrome strip down the side. I wonder if it’s just glued on, or if there are holes drilled underneath?

    one way to find out...

but seriously, i would bet they are just adhered with glue, can't imagine toyota would tool in manufacturing two different sets of doors just to add mounting points for a trim piece...

John's been very helpful to me (thanks!) as I add the same suspension set up. One note, is you need to spec a 90 degree bend for the rear shock reservoir output, otherwise it will come as a straight output which could put the rear reservoir hoses too close to the tires and cause chafing.

Here's a pic of the rear upper mount, as these misalignment spacers were fabricated, and yes you MUST have the 90* fitting for the reservoir hose otherwise the hose would hit the tire.

Do you have plenty of clearance with the 35’s? I haven’t looked at them side by side but assuming similar space in the fenders as the tundra?

sorry for the delayed response to this, i never saw a new post was here...

those 2 pieces are the main ones you need, there are also 2 screws required to secure the bulge to the grill, and all of that gets put together before attaching to your truck. you "may" need to replace the hoods clips, there are 5, if one breaks when removing the stock grill

and from what i hear, i caused these to go on national backorder, so good luck getting one!!
    Cheers

My curiosity is (for sh***s and giggles) if 37’s are possible with a level on the sequoia like it is on the tundra.
