    CB Front Bumper Shims .250”
Washed the Tundra after the install I just noticed my passenger side has more of a gap than the drivers’ side. Needing to ask if Anyone else has some pictures that I could compare on this Tundra forum to see if this is normal or just common with a few Tundras out there again that installed the Coachbuilder front bumper shims’.

Again full image so everyone else can see that the passenger side leaves more gap than the drivers side.

It is odd. Do you have a before picture? If the bolts all line up I can’t see it being the shims. Unless one side is not fully tightened. But they both look right. Could the bumper be off from the factory? Is that one side damaged? I see holes that the other doesn’t have.

I’m fully aware it’s not the Shims and Nothing against David @Coachbuilder1. I just noticed this today after the wash and wax it was something that caught my eye earlier today. Nothing damaged per my knowledge it may be the picture.

I have same issue without shims. Bumper alignment... I think there are some threads to read on.

Thanks for posting, There are 2 points of adjustment on the front bumper.

First area of adjustment is from the 2 Rear flanges where the bumper shim kit is installed. The holes are a bit larger than the 4 fixed studs and can be adjusted up and down left and right. Most likely Reveler00 when you installed you pushed up on the driver side first and then tightened the 4 nuts.. then went over to the passenger side and tried to adjust but was unable to move it. If you loosen the nuts on each side and lower the driver side and raise the passenger side this should straighten the bumper out. If you still need some additional adjustment you can do this but loosening the nuts on the front side of the bumper extension. Most likely this won't be needed but is a option.

I still need to get around to this passenger side bumper and get this dialed in what were the other two points where the front bumper can be adjusted?

Loosened all eight that the bumper shims are attached to and determined all the movement and play there was but still can not figure out on getting it perfectly aligned.

I have the same issue, installed my bumper shims from CB. And my driver side was sitting much lower than my passenger side. Loosened all the bolts and there is no available movement up and down to adjust.

Called and talked to Dave at Coachbuilder today, he helped me to adjust the bumper. Great customer service.

The shims move the bumper forward. I'll have to look at mine but there are bolts with elongated slots so that the height can be adjusted.

Loosen the nuts inside the aluminum support tube.

@RollTide82 there is a little bit of movement on the factory crash beam, where the shims go, you can adjust them slightly by moving it up and down before tightening. If you tighten with one up and one down it’ll be off.

Grille can stay on. Honestly, you best bet would be remove the 2 splash guards, unplug the parking sensor and fog lights from the truck, and if you have the tools remove the 4 bumper bolts that attach it to the frame on each side and take the bumper off as a hole piece, then put the shims in and reinstall.

The stock bumper has a gap of 13-15mm from the body panels for a reason. I measured 3 trucks and measured from the body panel near front tires using a caliper; measurements are 13mm, 14mm and 15mm. The current ADD stealfighter design will leave a gap of about 6mm or less. So yes, it will rub as is and most people just live with it. The front and cabin are on body mounts so they flex. I modded mine and ended up getting 14mm. You can see the flex in the pix with OEM bumper. Pix was taken during my 37x12.5 test fit for nip and tuck on 3/1.5" lift.
