Looking at putting 285/70/18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my Tundra Pro here shortly. My local tire shop quoted $1,510 for tires, $140 mounted. So $1,650 +tax. I was thinking that was a bit steep. Thinking about just ordering tires online somewhere 6BD87F59-7851-4491-BB93-5080AE9B0357.jpg for cheaper than that and taking them and getting them mounted.
Anyone know of a place online that’s cheaper? Thx

I just bought a set of exo grappler 275/60R20 from a local shop for $1243 mount/balance and installed. Will be getting them put on tomorrow. I got quotes from 5 different shops here and exo and ridge grapplers were within $5/tire.

I would check with Discount Tire they are nation wide and are in 35 states. We travel a bit and always works out having a store nearby. Discount nearby always beats anyone’s price. Nice truck. Good luck.

You might also consider sharing the best price you find with your local shop and give them a shot at matching it... can't hurt.
Good choice on the tires too, I have the same the tires and really happy with them so far.

My local tire shop wants $1510
Realtruck.com wants &1288. My local shop will probably tell me to go pound sand. Lol
Got to see what direct tire will do. I will mention realtrucks price tho

Yup, they might.. but if they do tell them you'll pound it with the $222 bucks you're saving somewhere else :typing:

Update. Discount Tire down the street from my work will beat realtruck price. So OTD will be $1279.32. I think that’s a pretty good price. Thanks for the help guys!!

There is really not much difference in size between the 285 and 295. The 285 is also 10#s lighter a tire so the 285s will not rob as much power and gas.

Believe it or not, Amazon. I run Ridge Grappler 37s, and have been looking for the best price for a couple months now.

Nothing has beat Amazons price so far, not even discount tire. Mind you, I’m factoring in the 5% back I get from the Amazon prime visa card.

Good call. That may be the deciding factor for me between the two. Getting some installed this weekend and keep going back and forth between the two sizes..

Let us know how they fit once installed. I’m guessing it should be fine since people are fitting 295s without any issues. I don’t have a Pro but I am running that suspension with CB+2s in the back. I’m good with removing the front flap but don’t want to get into any trimming etc.

Will do. I know the 285s will fit fine without any changes. As far as the 295s, just remove the front mudflaps and that’s all. Now if you add spacers or have different wheels than oem , I’m sure that’s a different story.

I tested my Nitto's out in the snow on black Friday...screw shopping! They worked great.

Those things are beefy, I like it! I’m really curious to see how they fit your truck. I plan to put the Ridge Grappler (in 285/60R20) on my rig when I finally get around to upgrading rims and tires. I’m a little concerned about the fit — I have a 3” lift so I’m hoping I won’t need to trim anything.

Here is mine with 285/70/18's on a 0 offset with 3/2 lift and BW flares. The 285 is so close size wise to the 295 that you wont notice it, and as mentioned, 10 lbs lighter per tire.

Did you get the 285s installed? Gonna go with the exact same tire and would love to see how your rig looks with them on....did you run wheel spacers for a little poke?

Same truck, same tire, same size. Only difference is Bora 1.25" wheels spacer and CB +2" rear shackles. Love these tires!!5BE69CC0-FDE0-4524-8307-6C180AF424DA_1_105_c.jpg A87315E2-831C-4A94-8EA7-45FBF37BCC78_1_105_c.jpg C5612617-DF46-4E49-BCE9-10A059859308_1_105_c.jpg
