My boyfriend has one on his 2019. He doesn't get water in the center area. I'll take a pic of his on Monday when we see each other and it's light out (he works second shift and I work third).

What's the procedure for adjusting the rods, @JoshuaA ? I assume you're referring to the locking rods that lock the tilt up rear portion of the cover in place. I had some water intrusion near my tail gate area and would love to be able to figure out a way to stop it.

Basically the lower you have these bolts, the more downward pressure is on the weather stripping. Also if you can afford to center the whole lid further back, that might help any leaking at the tailgate end.

I just purchased the HD Diamondback model. It came with 24 3M-taped rubber shims for adhering underneath the central portions of the bed rail caps, and a special instruction sheet explaining how to arrange them. A separate 3M tape gasket for the bulkhead (with instructions) was also included. So prior leak issues/problems are being addressed. I was also advised to apply a silicone bead at cab end of the bed rail caps if dryness is an important/ paramount concern for me. I can also attest to having to adjust the locking mechanism so that you need to place downward pressure on the top when closing (if you want water-tightness).

Do you have any idea how thick those shins are? My cap is leaking between the rails and the bed so I am going to shim with someadhesive EPDM shims and seal. 1/8” 1/4”??

My guess is they were 1/4 inch thick. However, you should probably contact diamondback. I’m sure they would probably provide a set of shims to you at no charge, or minimum charge, along with an instruction sheet on how/where to place them.

The problem is that flimsy crappy Diamondback. I’ll do you a favor and take it off your hands for $50 so you can go ahead and get something quality. Like off Amazon.
