MORIMOTO XB LED HEADLIGHTS 16+

Per their instructions any other LED light (as in tail lights) will cause hyperflashing. Perhaps install a resistor to the fronts?

2016 1794 edition. I did have the lower DRLs already. No dash light warning on mine.

 

You would install the resistor to the rear lights which is where the problem is.

 

Well after it was mentioned that buying from Lightwerkz.net that they were not an authorized dealer so the lights do not come with a warranty I checked with them and I was told they are the largest dealer and they advised people spreading the word to stop. I see that statement was removed

 

I have 2017 crew max sr5 installed the relay flasher in the dash and I have hyperflashing blinkers now on sequential mode.It a different problem than that your reference to

Just order from LightWerkz about two hours ago and just got my shipping info. Very friendly and made sure to I got the harness needed for the DRL.
Got the Morimoto fog lights also.

 

Anyone that got their Morimoto. Have any issues with trying to get the turn signals to work. I have led with resisters in all 4 corners of the truck. Tried cutting off the front two and still nothing. Replaced the relay with the one they gave me bc I didn't have a drl strip on my 2015. Any ideas

 

I just got mine installed, takes about an hour including the relay swap. The only thing that confused me is that the turn signals only work when the vehicle is running (I didn't try with the key in the accessory position). I'm assuming that they get their power directly from the fuse box and it needs power to give out power. I'm getting it inspected tomorrow; so we'll see if that's a problem or not. They don't really have the "fit" as the oem ones do, but as long as they out perform the oem ones, I won't care.

 

No vehicle I have every owned had the turn signals work with the key off, FWIW

 

Update For those who wonder. I have stock tail lights with led lights and had resistors in all 4 corners on the truck. In order for me to get the turn signals to work I cut all of the resistors out and they worked but had hyperflash. I rewired in the front resistors that I used with my oem housing with led upgraded bulbs from gtr lighting and boom fixed my hyperflash Problem. So as of now I have resisters in the front but not the back. Hope this helps anyone that may get confused like I did.

 

I have spyder taillights and Morimoto headlights.The turn signal will only work with the Morimoto headlights in normal blink mode.If I try to use the sequential blink mode both front and back hyperflash.I bought the Morimoto for the sequential blinker so not happy about it at all.Headlight revolution is telling me I now need resistors in the taillights in order for sequential blinker to work.From what I read here do not know if that will fix it or not.Any help with a setup like this would be much appreciated.

I got my email late Friday night, so its only been a few actual business days. CC refunds are always slow, personally, I wouldn't file a claim just yet.

Yes there's only actually been A few few business days that passed confirmation refunds was sent on Friday and yesterday was a holiday. Some received the refund Tuesday and Wednesday but again it depends on your bank. Sons refund fast but most are extremely slow. Your more than welcome to file a claim with your Cc company if you'd worried.

Also, TRS has a mega sale going on which puts the lights at $925 plus free led fog light and free shipping good until December 3rd. Us dealers can't match it better act on this deal they have

 

I didn't receive my refund either. I called Discover(my CC company) and they told me that if a refund was issued I'd see it pending within 2 business days.

 

I get that some are worried about getting their refund. Your CC provider will easily be able to a chargeback for quite some time. I urge others to refrain from doing so because if they get a slew of chargebacks in a short period of time eledobleu's account could have some adverse restrictions applied.

Even if he took the money and dropped off the face of the planet (which is beyond extremely unlikely) your CC would still refund your money.

 

This... I refund the money through whichever payment gateway you used rather it be PayPal, stripe, 2 checkout etc. Most state Thad refunds typically take 5-7 business days not including holidays. So next week you should see the refund for those that didn't get it last week.

Like @DigitalFusion stated, either way you'll get your refund. If you file a dispute and the refund goes through before the dispute is closed then they'll close it and mark your account as well. If you don't see refunds next week let me know. But some already posted in this thread that they received their refund so no need to worry.

 

I totally spaced that I put LEDs in the tail lights, and I have the hyperflash issue. (only with turn signals, harzards work fine?!?!)

Maybe I missed it, but has anyone confirmed that resistors in the tail lights fix this issue?

I installed them in the tail lights and I still have hyper flash.

 

UPDATE: It was just a bad connection. I installed those resistors in the tail lights and now my hyper flash with sequential in the front is fine.

The black housing looks sexy AF with black TRD grill.

Im interested in these lights, for anyone who has installed them does the stock headlight adjustment on the dash still work with the morimotos?

 

Welcome to the site! Yes, the headlight adjustment/leveler still works with these lights, and unlike a lot of other lights out there, you do not have to remove the motor from your stock lights and install it on these because they come with a motor.

 

Came here looking for something else - but couldn't help but notice that we (TRS) were being thrown under the bus for apparently purposely delaying shipments.

That is not true at all. As another member suggested after placing an order with a different vendor and got his tracking number the very next day....if we get an order, we ship it, simple as that!

I knew OP @eledobleu was bullshitting on the ship date. He arranged an interest free loan on our backs. He held up placing the orders with TRS. When he had the money back in his pocket he tried to place the orders with TRS the pricing had changed. So he is refunding. If he had placed the orders right after the gb was over he could have delayed the shipment at that time for whatever reason at the good price. But he didn't have the money at the time. That is why he was dragging it out and not forthcoming.

 

I'd go with TRS if they still have that sale going on
