VLED vs Precison Led vs HeadlightRevolution GTR solution

Has anyone had experience with VLED. They are expensive and Im just wondering if it is worth it compared to Precision or the GTR options form headlightrevolution.com

 

I have had experience with both. I started with headlight revolution. They are on here so I am sure they will chime in soon. I first started with switchbacks up front, headlights and fog lights, reverse lights and then dome lights inside. Everything worked fine for a year or so. Then like clockwork a switchback would burn out on me like every six months. The first two times were annoying because I didn't have any extra bulbs and now no turn signal on that side. One of these times they were moving shops and didn't get a reply from them for a few weeks. Ended up buying off the GTR sight in the mean time. Now to be fair once they were up and running at the new shop their customer service guys sent me a new set and everything was good.

However, as they started failing and when one of my fog lights finally went outside the warranty I switched to VLeds headlights and BD fogs. Those were way better. Its not even fair to compare the two options for the fog lights. The beam pattern was better on the headlights as well. I wasn't a big fan of the headlights from HR because in fog or rain you could see the scatter and the beam pattern up in the trees. To be fair there are now at least 1 or 2 versions newer so can't speak to those. I had the ones you could change color shields on.

Now a bunch of props to HR for their videos. Good lord did they nail those! I am almost positive anybody that can operate a screwdriver and a voltmeter could install the switchbacks.

I no longer have that 2015 and have a 19 Platinum with LED's from the factory. Will probably keep those. If I upgrade the fogs again it will be another set of BD with amber shields. Already swapped those on the wifes new 19 TRD OffRoad 4runner.

I don't have a pic of the HR lights I don't think but here is the VLeds.


EDIT: I guess I forgot to mention I was running last years BD Sports not the newly released SAE fog’s.

No problem. I almost just ordered every bulb for the Tundra and the 4Runner off VLEDS yesterday. But I decided to wait as we have a huge tree removal project coming up. Turns out that was a smart move to wait. Our friend of a friend won’t be able to do it. So back to the previous bid at almost twice as much.

 

I understand that. Sticker shock when I went to VLED and selected all the interior, tail lights, back up, blinkers, and license plate. But I would rather spend more up front than have to buy twice. Good luck with the tree.

 

This is what i did.
I love my VLEDs and have no experience with the others mentioned. I will say they have a terrific product, supberb customer service, and a phenomenal warranty program. As the old addage goes, you get what you pay for. Spend more up front knowing you are getting the best out there.

Wow am in the same boat and did not even see you.Been checking out H R page waiting to see what they will do for blackfriday. Also looked at V led but can't decide.Figured I would go for broke and do it all. It is a big commitment all at once.What is BD fog lights??

Are the VLED Micros brighter than stock? I have a 16 Tundra and the lighting is my biggest complaint. Terrible night vision

Any opinions on Vleds VS Diode Dynamics S1 for headlight bulb upgrade?

I have a set of Vled Micros that I just took out of my 13. They are about 6 months old...if that. They are some of the better designed led bulbs for headlights. I aimed mine down towards the road (lifted)and I was good to go.

 

I was DD bound until you posted up the 4th of July 25% sale....then I was further intrigued.

What lumen choice did you go with?

 

I had the regular Micros...3000 lumens I think.
