That’s how mine looked on my blue 2015 tundra.
But mine was the rear main seal.
My blue truck had, cam tower leak ( both side), rear main seal leak and timing chain cover leak.
The only reason I got rid of it was cause someone rear ended me and messed up the frame pretty good. If not I would of kept it for ever.

They did the rear main seal before they looked further into it and now it’s the oil pan. Just not happy with the motor being pulled with such low miles...

    I know it sucks. :(

I was lucky I had a good tech he would explain to me how he would do the job, and he did awesome job, didn’t have a single problem once he resealed all my leaks on my engine.

I really hope it works out for you, and don’t have any more leaks after this one.

I have heard of Toyota giving extended warranties when there are continuous problems like this. Might be worth asking Corp for it.

I wouldn’t worry about the engine being pulled...they will get it back together. I have a buddy who had his 15 Platinum bought back by Toyota (lemon) cause it had several issues. He got another one and its flawless.

Truck is still in the shop. Hope to get it back tomorrow or Friday after Turkey day. I called toyota customer experience. They opened up a case for me and I got a call from a case manager. I’m trying to get them to pay for my platinum warranty that I included in my
Monthly payments. That might make me keep the truck. I usually keep my vehicles for 8-10 years so I’m concerned about longevity at this point.

They gave me 1000 because I bitched about the sound from the speakers.

I said it was going to cost me 2500 for an upgrade and they said they would eat 1000.00

You get some good ones and some assholes.

    Good luck

After you bought it? The speakers stereo is horrible in the platinum. My Nissan Titan that was a 2013 was better.

Hey at least you made it to 25K. My rear main seal went at about 5,000 miles. The dowel pins were not seated properly in the block and were holding the rear main at a slight angle and caused it to fail. Tech tapped them in to the fully seated depth and put a new rear main in and so far the past 46,000 miles have been a success.

    Finally got my truck back!!!
They said the #1 oil pan was in bad shape and they ordered a replacement that looked even worse. 3rd order was the charm. All new seals and gaskets and fluid throughout. Looks, sounds and runs good so far. Headquarters is calling me on Tuesday. I requested they pay for my 6 yr platinum warranty that I purchased. See what happens...
