Slightly off-topic, but what do those of you that have the storage already put in it? I've been considering one of these but I have no idea what to throw in it?

Good sale by the way @havasubud

Yes you have to cut 3 squares in the carpet then the Styrofoam, but they give you a cutout, very easy.....I did it by my self, the hardest part was taking the seats off.

And actually that's not that hard four bolts each and lift out done. Depending on your mechanical aptitude this can be done finished in about an hour taking your time. I suggest you watch the install video it's that easy.

I got the plastic and works great for me. Cubbies seemed a little deeper. Didn't even need to remove the seat.

They utilize alot of wasted space in the CM. That should have been a factory installed item.

First aid kit , cloths and spray detailer (because the car wash never does it to my liking), towing equipment, tie down straps, and jumper cables. Gun and magazines are in center console in a Locker down safe.

Never had a car so I wouldn't know
My old truck had a toolbox which had most of the stuff you listed, but I opted not to get another toolbox this time around with the CM, so I was just looking to see what others use it for to get ideas.

Yeah with the CM you can't haul and have a tool box. That's the reason this back seat space is so needed. If you need a truck for hauling/working out of you need a tool box and a longer bed DC. Most, NOT ALL, Most who buy the CM do so for the cool factor and really don't need a truck. Hope you figure out what to do with your xtra space.

Good pics. I've been wondering how folks mod these with the extended Weathertech and Husky floor mats. What mods did you do to the extended area? Did you cut a matching hole in the mat or cut it off completely near the front end of the metal?

From what I've seen with those who have the extended mats, they just cut out the area required to be cut out for the storage unit.
