    Yea Boat=Break Out Another Thousand. I spent $10k in 2016 upgrading trolling motor, depthfinders, batteries, and battery charger. Now my graphs and TM our outdated compared to the latest offerings. Oh and not to mention I did all the work myself so no labor charges. Ouch.

    I paid about $150 each for a pair of Current deep cycle batteries. Is your bro hard on a batteries or just using them constantly?

    He's retired now and loves spending time on the lake. Part of a bass club he takes part in many tournaments in the Pacific South West.
    Fishing's always been his #1 hobby ~ both ocean and now mostly freshwater.
    With $3K in your boat I'd say that's a bargain ! :)

    My dad did his time in WWII ~ US Army Artillery Division sent to Europe. In basic training he was issued a uniform to wear.

    He said they had two sizes ~ too big & too small.

    My husband is a Marine who served in Vietnam. He's pretty salty. He tells our grandchildren, regardless of age or gender, when they are whining or fussing to "suck it up and be a man!" It usually makes them giggle.

    I did my in the USAF, Vietnam, kicking tires and pumping gas on the C7A Caribou. Whenever some sort of issue became the topic of conversation it went like this;

    We talked about it, laughed about it and forgot about it . . .

    I still use this quip to this day when issues don't get resolved.

    Wow that's a great fish!!! I bass fish almost every day. Been bass fishing since I was around 9 or 10. Currently sporting a 400$ used ascend 12ft kayak that gets me anywhere. I can get into most places a boat cannot. Here in Florida where you have a ton of hydrilla, eel grass Lilly pads etc... It makes lurker hunter fun! And it's great exercise lol. At least that's what I tell myself.
