Honestly I’d just ask yourself this: If the truck sold tomorrow and the deal was off the table, would you regret it? Sure you could play hard ball and eek another few hundred MAYBE...but is it worth losing out on it? My deal was similar about 1 month ago (MSRP ~$51k, got them down to $42,800 with a spray liner after dealer incentives but before tax / TTL). I’m very happy with it. If you wouldn’t regret it if the deal was off the table tomorrow, then wait and see if you can get better, but I doubt you would get THAT much better at this point. I say buy and just enjoy your awesome new truck

Good point! When I bought mine also about a month ago, I got 10.84% off MSRP. Sure, I probably could have haggled for a bit more, maybe a few hundred bucks, but I love my new truck and I'm happy with the deal I got.
Also, my situation was slightly different because I'm friends with the salesman and the manager at the dealership. Several years ago when I sold cars briefly, we all worked together at the same dealership, so I figured I'd let them make a few bucks since they're not strangers.

Good points all around. I lost out on one over the weekend which both scared me and disappointed me and I don't want to lose out on this one. That being said, there are others still available but a little further away. So if I lost this one, I'd be disappointed again but still have a couple other options.
But you're right, I won't get that much better of a deal even if I do wait it out.

My unit was $45,000 after tax and doc fees. Only add was at the state registration office to get new plates.

No, I didn't. Did you know that you don't have to buy the extended warranty on the same day you buy your truck? You can buy it at a later date as long as it's before the original warranty expire. They try to get you to buy it now so you will have to pay interest on the amount.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I'll see how the truck performs the first 3 years and if I think it needs an extended warranty, buy it later.

Lustiger - I'm buying the same truck as you have right now! :)

Long story short, I dicked around and ended up losing out on the magnetic gray 1794 I was trying to negotiate (over a few hundred dollars). I really liked that color and was a bit disappointed.

Good news is, I did finally pull the trigger on the other (white) 1794 I was negotiating on and going back and forth over the magnetic gray one. I ended up paying about $900 more for the white one than the gray one BUT I got TRD dual exhaust and shift knob for that $900, which I thought was worth it. Also, both cars were 300+ miles from me and I'm getting the white one shipped at no cost. So in the end, I think I did good.

OTD price was $50,600, including TTL and whatever else.

Congrats! Enjoy you’re super pearly white clean Tundy! Don’t let the MGM advocates hear me say this, but I think white is far superior anyways. Plus with the white you can do this bada$$ classic trd look!

    LOL. It's very sharp truck!

My only problem with white is for the past 20 years about 90% of my cars have been white. I have 2 white BMWs right now and now another white truck. White's good for resale and it's sharp. I know I'll be happy.

I’m just leaving the dealership with a new 2019 TRD Pro. $46,490. + TTL. MSRP was $51,390. I’m happy.

Mine’s White. The dealer I purchased from had 2 white Pros. I’m guessing that helped the pricing as did walking in the last day of the month. There was a black one at another dealer that was willing to deal as well.

Thanks. I didn’t really need a pro, I was planning to buy an SR5 and mod it with katzkins, suspension, and wheels but at this price I wasn’t really going to save anything going that route.

Anyone recently purchase a Tundra in the GTA of southern Ontario ? When I purchased a 2008 tacoma, most dealers would not discount much off msrp. Was wondering what people are paying for a Tundra in this area.Been looking online for 2020 double cab trd off road, not many around in stock yet.

Moved from a 2003 2500 Duramax to a 2019 4x4 TSS Crewmax and am really excited. I used this thread to buy the truck so seemed like a good place to introduce myself. I paid $40.4k before TTL with spray-in bedliner, tint, and the little console safe.

Hi guys I'm new to the forum, and I'm on the verge of getting a Tundra just wanted to get opinion on the deal I'm looking at right now.

I'm looking at a used Barcelona Red 2019 Crew Max 4x2 with 14k miles on it. It is the SR5 model with TRD Off Road and the OTD price is $33,700 ( taxes, license and everything else included)

Is this a good deal, or should I keep shopping around?

    Thanks in advance

Seems a good deal. I just traded my 17 sr5 in and got 34k. It had more miles as well.

    Hey guys,

Can you guys give me advice on getting a truck. This will be my first full-size truck. I have always bought toyotas before (camry, rav4, highlander, tacoma). I'm graduating this year hopefully with my masters degree, so I'm buying this is a present for myself. A 2021 tundra sr5 TSS 4wd with 38 gallon tank, convenience extra value package, and running boards.

    If you know exactly what you want, do this;

    - Give yourself 500 miles, do some googling of the business manager’s email addresses at each of the larger toyota dealerships. Typically I’d email 7-10.

    - Send the email out around the 15th of the month. Dealers tend to get more hungry towards the end of the month to make different goals/bonuses. Tell them exactly what you are looking for and that you’re giving them an opportunity to earn your business, and you’re ready to buy within 10-14 days. Let them know you’re shopping between 10 dealerships.

    - Ask them for your total price with an itemized price breakdown. Don’t do “out the door” only because you want to see the price breakdown and all the numbers.

    - After sending out the email, go to someplace like Edmunds.com or truecar and price up what you’re looking for.

    - Make a determination as to if you need financing from the dealer or not.

    - Wait for the numbers to come back and start negotiating via email with the top 3 prices.

    - Share with us on here pics of your new whip!

Yeah I went about 1000 miles and it worked out very well. Some people freak out when I suggest 1000. Hopefully this is what the OP is looking for.
