I used these products on my daughter’s car. Applied Turtle Wax Seal and Shine to the passenger side, and Topcoat F11 to the driver’s side.

The appearance was equal on both sides, and both are equally hydrophobic. The Turtle Wax left some streaks, but if it’s anything like Meguair’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax, they should fade on their own.

Going in, F11 is one of the most expensive products on the market, at nearly $4.00 per ounce. I paid $6.00 for the entire bottle of Turtle Wax at Walmart. Unless the F11 lasts an incredibly long time, I can’t imagine it will be a good value.

I’m also pretty turned off by Topcoat’s scammy looking website. A lot of pop ups, and a pretty unintuitive layout. Topcoat has a pretty poor reputation, but I’ll be completely objective in my review.

Pics in equal light. No real difference in appearance.

    Streaks are gone as expected.

I poured some water on the hood. Both sides were equally hydrophobic. Will update in a week.

    Great review!

I was actually going to buy some of that turtle wax from Walmart this weekend to use on my kids vehicles. Saving the good shit for my truck and my wife's pilot.

Just finished detailing my son's truck with the turtle wax ice stuff. I like it. Definitely not as smooth as Beadmaker but pretty high gloss. He took off with his shiny truck before I took a picture. Also used waxaddict Tyre feeder on the tires. Hopefully he returns before dark.

Thanks Ron. I’m trying to be as open minded as possible, but I can’t imagine Topcoat can perform well enough to justify the price. I already know it doesn’t look any better than other, cheaper products, and at $4.00 an ounce, it would need to pretty much last forever.

At first glance, I feel like Meguair’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax looks better. It has decent longevity also. I think it lasted six weeks or more when I tried it.

I still have 2 bottles of the mothers ceramic spray coating that I need to try.

    https://www.amazon.com/Mothers-0102...ocphy=9029486&hvtargid=pla-655030823744&psc=1

I wish everyone lived closer so I could give some stuff away without spending tons on shipping. I have multiple gallons of stuff I need to get rid of because I'll never use it.

I hear ya. I brought a big box of it to work last month and told the guys to have at it.

I’ve looked at the Mothers also. I just have way too much stuff. I’m trying to streamline my cabinet a little, and just reorder what I know I like.

That's my plan. Try to get rid of the stuff I'll never use and only buy the stuff I like. Mostly CarPro, Shine Supply, Beadmaker, a few chemical guys stuff , and waxxaddict will make the cut.

Here’s some pics after 8 days. It’s been raining so it shows some beading. Still no discernible difference between the two in appearance or performance. (Camera fogged up on the first pic.)

Did a wash today. The F11 is already failing. This confirms what I’ve read about the product, that it comes off when you wash the vehicle. That’s why the company recommends that you reapply it after every wash. I’m sure everyone here can see right through that.

A couple of short demonstrations. Turtle Wax Seal and Shine on passenger side, Topcoat F11 on driver’s side:

Been reading to not to use soap on the f11 just water. So I’ve been doing that since having it on mine last month still beads Water like day 1....there’s a YouTube video they show using soap on it causing it to “fail”then using a sponge to clean it all off and it goes back to beading water.

That’s pretty weird. I don’t really understand how that would work.

It was beading before I used soap on it. Then I washed with Carpro Reset, rinsed, and dried.

Nonetheless, the $6.00 product next to it was impervious to the soap. That’s really the big issue here more than anything. It’s pretty much impossible for F11 to justify it’s price tag.

So, about 4 1/2 months after I did this review. I washed the Honda this past Saturday. I can’t remember if there were any washes since then, but she left for college in August, so maybe once if any.

Anyway, all protection was gone on the car when I washed it, so neither of these had any long term durability to speak of.
Once again I’m reminded about what a pain it is to wash a car with no paint protection on it. I washed my daughter’s Tundra also for the first time in a while. I wish I could remember what I put on it last time so I could give an update. It still had some protection left, but not a lot.
