I just ordered some amber 7444 front turn signal bulbs for my 2018 headlights. Also got resistors.

I would like to do the tail lights too. I already have led reverse lights. What other bulbs do I need. In rear I need 3157, 3157k, and 921. all red I assume. Is there really that many bulbs back there?

Assume you're talking about converting to LEDs. You won't need resistors for in-kind bulb replacement. The headlight housings should have come with 7444NAK bulbs.

The brake light, tail light, and rear side marker are all combined in one bulb...3157.

The rear signal light is a single second bulb...921.

When replacing incandescent bulbs with LEDs, the suffix letters are not relevant to LEDs. Only the numerical digits are important. Most LEDs can be used for several different bulbs. For example an LED indicated as a replacement for both 3156 (single element) and 3157 (dual element) will replace both bulbs, but be only half as bright for the single element application; e.g. tail light only without the signal.

Review the ohms for the resistors you bought. Typically, 6 ohm resistors are needed if you only have LED signals for the fronts. If you install LEDs at all four corners, then you can use only a single 3 ohm resistor installed behind the rear light housing. Get the LEDs and try before you consider resistor changes; you may get by without hyperflash.

You have puddle lights in your mirrors, right? (Assuming all Platinums have them.) I just got some cheap LED replacements from Amazon for my wife’s Sequoia. May switch to Vleds later, but it made a huge difference. (I only did one so far. Wanted a comparison shot before doing the other.

There are plastic grommet(s) that snap into the tail light fender opening into which a "pin" on the tail light housing SNAPS. It's difficult to remove that tail light housing because that grommet holds that pin extremely tightly. If you remove the housing for inspection, I expect you will find that plastic grommet broken from your removal, and is no longer capable of doing the great job it did before.

Right, the grommets are still there but don't feel as secure as original. One of them had the shoulder break but still allows it to snap into place. Both lights just don't feel as tight when snapped into place like it did originally and I swear there is a larger gap now but I could just be crazy. I'm due for a10k service soon, I was just going to ask them to take a look whole it was in but I know how that tends to go

Snap one out and examine it close...it'll be bunged. Replace the grommets used for the snap pins, and the tail light housings will fit like new. They're about $1.50 each.
