Congrats on the ride! Looks great! I am somewhat in the market for a GX also. What lift and tire size did you do? Looks perfect! And love the TRD rims.

My wife is going out of town for two weeks. Her GX is going to become my daily ride. They are a sweet ride. It is the first car that I did not try to talk her out of getting. She likes Audi's. She is still looking for a A5 as a second car. She tells me that she can use the gx to tow it home when it breaks down for me to fix.

Thanks. I went with a Dobinsons 2" setup (front and rear) and SPC UCA's. It rides really well, better in my opinion than the soft factory ride.

The wheels were a long debate in my head, but in the end I'm glad I went with the FN FX Pro and 265/70r17 setup. Dustin at FN is awesome to work with.

The A5 has to be a standard. She likes to go fast. She had a S4 with a manual several years ago.

I tried to get my wife to buy one but she got the RX350 instead. I like the Gx, it's a mini land cruiser, much smaller and still has a V8. Better for an off-road toy or overland vehicle over a 4Runner or Tacoma.

Nice! Six or seven years ago my wife got a used 470. It’s about 13 years old now and with over 200K miles on it she’s now considering a newer 460. Do the 460s have the same drivetrain, suspension and wheel bolt pattern, or are they totally different?

I haven’t owned a 470 so I can’t speak on that. But I can say that the 460s are hard to mod. Not enough space in the wheel well and not enough aftermarket options. Wheels are the same bolt pattern.

Oh, that’s too bad about the limited modification options. I’ve seen some really nicely built 470 on the trail with aftermarket suspension, armor, etc., and was hoping the same might be available for the 460s.
