My new Platinum has sprung a drip by drip motor oil leak. Every tech in the shop has looked and cannot locate the origin. Of course it won't leak while at the dealer, but my videos are very convincing and everyone agrees there is a problem. But with the engine so clean and new, it is almost impossible to spot the offending part. Any ideas? I'm going back tomorrow for the 3rd time in less than a week.

A little of this and a little of that.
Skip, I would make them give me another Pro if they can't fix the problem.

Welcome to the forum from Las Vegas!!

You can put UV Dye in, and run the truck for a while. Then, on a dark and stormy night, poke around with a UV flashlight to find the source of the leak. I'm surprised your dealer hasn't tried this.

Best to do this or have it done now, rather than after oil gets all over everything.

Exactly what they did! Dye in the oil. Today it revealed oil showing up all around the pan gasket! But still not exactly certain it's the only culprit.
The oil pan is not directly above the frame cross member where the drips seem to fall. Could be that it is running from somewhere else as well. They are spending all day tracing it down, so guess I just sit and wait for results. At least today they gave me a loaner to make the 40 mile trip back to the house.
Thanks for all your comments on my first post. Still love my truck.

Hopefully its something easy, cam tower leak is a lot of engine teardown to fix. If it is the cam tower, how the heck has Toyota not fixed this issue by now? crazy.

Yes, what Ron said... And be sure to get paperwork everytime you go in there, each one may count towards the lemon law.

Yeah oil leaks almost never drip directly below the leak. That would be too easy. Something to do with windage and viscosity, I would imagine. Let us know how it goes.

Brand new 2019 Tundra, 3000 on ODO, leaks oil!!!! I am so mad and disappointed. If I wanted that kind of an experience, I would go with a Ford. I had toyotas all my life and my previous trusty Fj Cruiser was amazing. For 11 years, nothing! Instead of upgrading, I feel like I downgraded after shelling 40k for it.
