Thanks. I found a simple PDF on TT that outlines removal without touching anything but the bumper. Just need two people to support it as it comes off and on the vehicle.

I will say this. Now that I'm starting to see the front end come together, the stock wheels look even worse :/ I'm also planning to plastidip my badges this spring/summer which will make it even worse.

Is this that infamous money pit you all have fallen into?

Ok, so I attempted to get everything prepped for the end cap replacement. I was planning to try the bumper removal method as outlined here . However, I don't have a pass through socket, and it's impossible it get those bumper bolts out otherwise. I don't have metric ratchet box wrenches (just SAE), so I can't even try that.

So instead of wasting more time, I'm guessing tomorrow I will re-remove my grille and try it that way.

Can I remove the end caps without removing the body panel below the headlights?

The best way I found was the video I posted on page 2 of this thread,.IMO it's the easiest way to remove the whole bumper. Trying to remove it from underneath would be a biatch, lol

Ugh...alright. I don't know how this is a "10 minute job" as some state. Nothing pops loose on my truck easily like it does on these videos.

Whats the general consensus on the rears? Body shop is doing the fronts for me when they make my accident repairs, but I need to get the rears done next. It seems like its a much more in depth process, no?

If you're removing all the chrome off the front, you can't just leave the rear bumper chrome. Work in a deal to do the rears too. Did you ask the shop how much more it would be?

If I remember correctly from the quote I for from @Roman, there are more parts to toads than just the chrome pieces, so yes it is more in depth than the front.

Ok, got the bumper cover off. Was really easy. I have the caps swapped out, but reinstalling the fog lights, there's extra material on the color matched end caps that isn't on the chrome. It doesn't look like the fog light housing will fit.

This is what I'm talking about.

This is the bracket going back into the housing.

Yep. You don't even need to remove the panel below the headlights. Just pop on snap pin to loosen them and you can access the back bolt for the bumper cover easily.

I am doing the same swap, looks like the new cover does not have the holes for the 12mm bolt on top?

The 12mm bolt doesn't go through the new cover, it goes through the bumper itself.

So you switched the grille and also match painted the chrome bumper? Did you paint it your self or someone else? How much did they charge you for that? (Painting bumper)

I ordered the end caps paint matched from Roman on here. He has a painter that does it prior to shipping. PM him for pricing. He's hard to beat and has great service!
