Just curious what you all like for batteries. Going to change mine out. Just interested in what you think does the job..

I have been getting 5-6 years out of Wal-Mart Everstart Maxx batteries in my Tundra. Wife's car has Advance Auto Gold and the last two lasted 3-4 years. She will be switching to Everstart for the next battery.

Napa has already treated me right. Their batteries are made by Exide.

Thanks. Researching right now but interested in seeing what others like. I tried NAPA once and will never again. I've not been satisfied with most of their products.

To each their own, I worked at a Napa right out of high school so I’m probably partial to them. I just replaced mine with a Napa 7524F and it’s been great. I still get parts at cost but I’m sure there are better options depending on how much you want to spend.

I don't know what battery it was exactly but the last one I purchased was from AutoZone (maybe a duralast?) for my ranger and that was about 6 years ago. The thing has been sitting quite a bit and has gone dead from sitting for months about 4-5 times in the last 2 years. Still seems to be kicking along. I wouldn't mind something fancier for my tundra when the current battery dies. I was really thinking a traditional battery as a main and a deep cycle under the bed or something hooked up to a battery switch so I could run accessories with the engine off and not worry about starting.

Wasn't trying to disparage. I just haven't had good luck with NAPA products. I have an F350 that I've used NAPA batteries, starter and they just didn't seem to last. But like you said to, each his own..Thanks for the input though I do appreciate that.

Best pro-rated warranty in the market according to the Pep boy guy that put a new one in for FREE last year 2 weeks after the 36 month good bye date.

Round hea, the batteries last until a week or two after the rating. Been that way since owning cars and buying batteries.

    So stoked.

So you've been satisfied with the Optima. I was looking at those and the Northstar. My vehicles sit outside a lot and when I'm plowing or just winter in general I like knowing a battery is going to preform.

Last night after I posted this thread I discovered there was one already that went in-depth about batteries. It just didn't pop up when I did a search. So sorry if I'm treading old ground..

Lots of battery salesmen around here popping in every 3-4 months with ‘Group Buys Savings’!

Just buy it at your local instead.

After using the advanced auto batteries for the last few vehicles, I switched back to the redtops. I live in Florida and the cars stay outside so a battery lasting longer than 2-3yrs(very beginning of that 3yr) seems rare. I used to have Red tops all the time back in my earlier car life when I was into car stereo and they would take a beating and last outside 3yrs. With the LX470, it's been 1.5yrs so far so won't have any great feedback for at least another 1.5yrs. I'm hopeful they are as good as they were 10 years ago

    No worries.

Optima red tops. Pop the website at Advance Auto parts enough, and you'll get an electronic offer for 25% off, order online and pick it up later.

I've been using Interstates from Costco for the last 10 years in several vehicles...so far so good, no issues.

I got 6 years on my last diehard platinum AGM. Might have gotten more but I stopped driving my truck much during the last year of that battery life.

Well I did some more snooping around my truck today.. I just bought it 2 Saturdays ago and just picked it up last Saturday. And the weather hasn't been great so today I was able to look a little more... So my battery is an Interstate the was made in April of 2017 so I am feeling better about having a good battery going into the winter... I appreciate everyones input so far though..

    Let's see if you're still batting 100.
Sometimes when I have thoughts, I should let them go but when I first saw thread title earlier today, I started to give my answer....a battery
    :sorry:

To be on topic, I bought a Duralast Gold 24F-DLG from AutoZone 2 months ago to replace my 6 yr old batt.

Maybe a ‘Group Buy’ is in order?

Turd Gens Section would be all over this.
