Anyone have a favorite rock slider they run on their trucks? I’m entertaining the idea of putting some on my truck.

    Welcome to the party!!!

There are alot of options out there. I went with SDHQ. They can be tricky to put on with a couple of things to work around, but all in all im happy with them.

Depends on what kind of wheeling you will be doing.

If you will be crawling over rocks, potentially falling on your frame, you want the thicker .188 dom and I believe White Knuckle Offroad offers that in their sliders. Guys who wheel here in SoCal swear by them.
Personally I went with Demello, a .120 dom and square tubes that I think are fine for what I'm doing on the trails.

SDHQ or White Knuckle if you plan any serious off-roading. Both look great, whether on or off-road. Both can be used as a “step” but they’re pretty high up near the truck, so still a reach for shorter people.

The SDHQ are more of a rounded look, the White Knuckle are more of a straight lines look, and have a kick out located ifo the rear tires that can be handy.

The SDHQ are bolt-on (the main trick to installation is to get your gas tank near empty, after which you can muscle it around.) White Knuckle need some welding to your truck.

Edit: I read below that I was wrong about White Knuckle: you’d have to drill extra holes in your frame but not weld.

I ordered and installed heavy wall white knuckle sliders for my 2019 Limited DC
ZERO welding , all bolt on. Excellent fit, uses factory holes in frame, only a few to drill.
Very impressed, would definitely buy again.
I don’t plan on any rock crawling, wanted heavy wall for T-Bone protection. (I’m a Retired firefighter) who’s responded to hundreds of crashes, understand the protection that these will provide!

Best coverage I've seen for wheel to wheel on a crewmax is the RCI Offroad set. They are also the only sliders I've found that are fully functional as a slider/jack point WITHOUT drilling or welding.

Lol. Nope. Just a massive bracket with more supports than some of the others.

I had white knuckle on an fj and I’ll be putting them on my tundra in the next few months. I’m not into rock crawling but they made a good step and I’d rather have them just in case than not. They are relatively local so I don’t have to pay for shipping so that helps too.

WKOR's sliders are the best; don't skimp out, get the .188" wall option.

They must've made changes since I looked at them then. They required drilling to use as full function sliders and left about 6 inches in front of the rear tire with no protection. A member on here (Joonbug maybe?) Had pics of the bed after a rock found the gap.

Getting SDHQs installed today. I drove all the way from SoCal to Arizona to have SDHQ put them on for me, along with a Switch Pro.

I went with victory 4x4, built right for upward pressure. I see that white knuckle is also built for upward pressure from below.

2016 crewmax, I am looking for a local supplier and installer of backsliders, I like the SDHQ but they recommend that they ship raw and I prefer a quality powder coated and do not recommend an installer. I am handicapped and unable to install myself. When I mentioned these facts to SDHQ they seemed rather rude and unwilling to offer advice. Any suggestions? Ned supply and install in the Houston area.

I am also on Land Cruiser sites. Most popular are the Slee, White Knuckle and Bud Built. I'm going with Bud Built because they don't use Rivnuts, they actually line up with pre-existing frame holes and are very beefy. Well designed, excellent quality from every thing I've read.

Looks like the SDHQ don't use rivnuts either.
