What have you done to your 2nd gen Tundra today?

Blew a fuse attempting to upgrade the interior lights to LED. Decided to keep them stock.

Installed a 10.2" Android head unit onto my 08 RCSB. This thing is a game changer, apple carplay rocks!

 

Looks sick. How much did it run you?

 

Bought it on Amazon, i think $550 shipped when i got it. Real simple to install, plug and play with their provided harness. Hardest part was running the backup camera wiring, wanted a sleek look and tried to tuck everything out of sight.

Does it auto dim when, let's say, your head lights are on?

 

What are you using to take the lights out? I only blew one when I used a screwdriver to pry one of the lights out.

yes it dims when your lights are on, and the buttons on the side lights up too, this would keep me entertained in traffic, it's like having a PC in your car.

 

Living where i live, DC, something like that would cost me a million dollars to have on my property. We ain't got land here

That seems to be about what I remember. I think that it's rather reasonable, at least they're super easy to replace. Some are impossible.

They're absurdly expensive, legendary reliability. I paid $19,000 for a 2007 with 192K miles on it. Insane, but it's rust free and super clean so it demanded top dollar and i bent over and gave the dude all the money.

Swapped factory take off’s from my buddy’s 2013 to my 08 to get rid of the badly internally oxidized headlights. MUCH brighter and I actually have a cutoff again! New on the right. Now to replace the fogs with amber rigid sae fogs eventually......gotta do suspension first
