IPhone help....app blocking

I am looking for a blocking app for an IPhone to lock internet, youtube etc. I have a teenager that cant seem to do her homework. My expertise is Android lol. What do you guys use?

 

I just took the phone away and there homework got done faster then shit.

 

Thats where the wife and I get into the argument over it. She thinks she needs to have it with her at cheer practice, school, or work. Life was simpler back in the day before cell phones.

 

I hear ya brother, but a broken Chain of command will never get the job done..

What program do you use to recover deleted text messages? We busted her for some inappropriate behaviour and now she just deletes the entire message thread so that we don't see it.

 

If the phone has icloud backups enabled and the last backup was before the time they were deleted, then you'll have to completely erase the phone and restore that back up to get the text messages back. Apart from that, depending who your mobile provider is you can ask them for text logs as they keep them for a certain amount of time but they can make it a pain in the butt trying to get them.

Last option is sketchy 3rd party programs that you install on a computer. For most of them you provide it a iphone back up file for it to unencrypt so you can go through all the info and view it but they cost money.

IOS Parental controls and screen time work well. Verizon also has a stand alone service that's a pay-per-month deal. I haven't used it. However with parental controls and screen time, you can block whatever apps and whatever time frame you choose.
I'm not sure in the long run if it's possible to stop it all. I'm sure you've all heard of the calculator app right?
It's a crazy battle with all electronics. My boys have found work arounds for just about everything when the phones aren't available.

I haven’t done it so I don’t know the procedure, but you can pair your phone with hers so you can see every message she gets/sends in real time. I’m pretty sure this can’t be “one way” though, so she’d probably be able to see your contact too. If no one else chimes in with more info on this, I’ll try to get ahold of my friend who knows about this (he got busted texting a female friend... by his wife who could view all his messages and freaked out; my point is, I know this pairing is possible).

However, to the point someone else made above, kids today know multiple message apps (disguised as calculators and what not) and can message through these, which may not be viewable, even if you pair your devices.
