Today I was able to mostly install my midland 275. I decided that I was going for a hidden install. I mounted the base unit under the cup holders in the center console. Put a mount on the passenger side to plug the hand piece into. I still have to connect to switch pro and wire antenna. For now I am mounting the antenna that came with it on roof. Later I am going to mount a flexible antenna on my Leitner rack.

How and where did you get through the firewall for the antenna on the passenger side?

Directly below the center console is a big rubber grommet you can go through. It’s in center. It was big enough that I just used a drill to make a hole
