Hello everyone, I have been searching for some pocket style fender flares like the one they make for ford and dodge trucks. So far only found bushwacker. But I think they are just overly priced for plastic fender flares. Are there any other alternatives? Perhaps make my own?

Wet blanket report: You’ll have a difficult time finding what you want without it looking like butt. Only flares outside of the OEM ones I’ve seen that look really cool are those ‘Glass’ ones which are entire new quarter panels from the pictures I’ve seen.

They are also usually super pricey, need to be color matched, ran by people with long travel and 35s or bigger. I think they look like a goiter on a a truck

Yes. I was going to add that the only pics I see from the members that have them here usually come and go real quick to never be heard from again. They definitely need a bigger tire to look good.

They look nice, but 242$ each seems over priced

My mind is detecting a theme here.

I've seen those PSI flares on both eBay and Amazon. There's a smooth and textured pocket version and a more OEM style.

I never liked that the only pictures they have are photoslopped.

I’ve got the smooth style bushwhacker flares on my black 2002. I was able to leave them unpainted (flat black) and I like the look a lot. Excellent tire coverage and able to run my 285’s on 17x9 rims without the tires sticking out past the flares and looking like ass.

never was able to find the bushwacker flares for the first gens, but sounds like they are lurking out there. Considering their fenders start around $300 and go up from there, $242 ain't bad. Not to mention, I would recommend using the "Make offer" button... Worked for me to get them for ~$50 per flare... hint hint!

It's poorly labelled on that page. They are not $242 per flair. It's per kit. Your whole truck for $242. Scroll down and you can see that it's a set with 6 pieces because the front ones are a two piece assembly.

Wow what's on the front of that truck!?! I hope there is at least a winch hiding under that thing for all the extra distance it sticks out.

I decided with sticking with oem due to it's a color matched plastic vs. black that you have to paint. It's over priced in my opinion. But I wanted it.
