    Evening 3rd Gens,
Walked around Walmart and found a Allen Company Gun Magnet, $13 investment. Phantom holsters aren’t user friendly for Sig pistols, which that’s the setup I wanted in my YOTA. Not too bad looking, but I did break a plastic retainer clip removing pistol off magnet. So if you know a cheap place I can find a replacement, please message me I’m stationed in Fort Riley Kansas. Thanks.

Ok, just checking if you drilled into it.

And DAMN, that is one big magnet!! May have to look into one of those...for a friend of course.

@ColoradoTJ drilled to right of it, missing everything important but not too far right to mess up retainer clip.

@1lowlife Im ordering one of those trigger guards as we speak. I have an Alien gear holster that I was gonna test also in same spot, waiting for a bracket to come in to test.

Oh thankfully the average Tundra owner has a higher IQ than most. Glad you didn't drill into the bag.

Personally I am not a fan of using a magnet on a gun that is striker-fired and has a lot of magnetic metal internals. To each their own but I'm not willing to roll those dice. Just something worth considering :)

Good point about the magnet on guns. I am not a fan of striker fired pistols at all, but that is a completely different topic and I know that I am in the minority on that subject.

What exactly are you 'afraid' of?
The spring loaded internal parts not functioning properly because of said mounting magnet?
I'd say you're paranoid, but to each their own, indeed.

    I noticed this on my EMP several years ago;
I would use bottle caps to hold CLP to dip q-tips when cleaning.
The slide and the slide stop seemed to be 'magnetized'.
Not the entire slide, just the small area as seen in the pics.
This particular firearm has never been touched by a mounting magnet.
I'm guessing it was always that way, or perhaps the nickel Teflon plating I had done had something to do with it.
So if you want to be paranoid, some of your firearms may already have these magnetic properties...

I've used magnetic mounts on several striker fired pistols over the years.
Never had any problems, maybe I'm just lucky..
