Can I tow a 10000 boat and trailer with a factory tow package on a 2008 Tundra 5.7 motor?

If I can't, I am unable to find an aftermarket trailer hitch that can be used since I have a factory tow package, even if I unbolt the factory hitch.

I’m not much help. But with air bags and a weight distribution hitch I have towed over 10k a few times. Not sure about the legal or safe aspect.

Depending on the configuration of the Tundra (more than just the motor and package...things like Crew vs Regular affects the tow rating)

The MAX it could under any configuration is just a tick over that 10,000 lbs...

could you pull it from the lot and put it in the water...probably...get it out of the water - maybe - probably no problem...how far are your going?

and is that 10K with the trailer and ALL the gas and other things in the boat...most people load the boat prior to putting it in the water...how sure are you of that 10K weight - actually throw it on a scale - loaded the way you would normally use it?

for me - id say no...it is too heavy. others will say - yup - let it fly...for my $$ and insurance piece of mind - id say no

    Thank you for your input!

The total weight ready to launch is just under 10k. I only have to tow it about 2 miles. I am mostly concerned about yanking the factory tow package/bumper off the truck while pulling the boat out of the water.

I have not found an aftermarket tow hitch that will bolt on with a factory towing hitch so I'm kinda stuck by either trying to tow it or buy a different truck.
