    I’m trying to figure out what the individual pins go to(purpose) on the push button fog light switch for a 2000-2003 tundra. A wiring diagram would be the best but I can’t find it anywhere. I’m not looking for a fog light mod or using existing wiring harness or relay. I am wiring a separate light relay and harness for some led lights but I can’t find the wiring diagram anywhere for the 6 pin fog light switch. What’s gonna be my ground my power etc thank you!08D5EF03-AC17-44F9-A78F-18B1569927CA.jpg0B18F2E3-3B16-478F-8CAB-84FA66291E08.jpg

    image.jpg image.jpgUpdate. I went into Toyota and had talked with the service manager and had one of there technicians pull up a wiring schematic. They said there is only two wires running off of the fog switch. I showed them the harness wiring and they look confused. They atleast told me that red yellow wire is power and black green should be ground. Getting close. I might wire it up to a battery and run some tests. I’ll look for an old light I have to hook it up and get back shortly.

    The other wire will be ground and probably a dimmer or light circuit.

    Power, ground, source, and then illumination to switch. If you know what is power and ground then connect ground and test 2 remaining wires to see which one lights up the switch

    @FrenchToasty @fisherman951 thank you. That’s exactly what I did. Figured it out. Red/yellow was hot, grey with silver was ground the other two(green black, green white) I connected as an accessory wire to the relay. Now I have a push button factory fog light switch operating my fog lights and led light bar I have coming in. I will post some pics tomorrow. Thanks

    Thank you for the post. Just picked up a switch for my 06 tundra from an 03 access cab. Had to do a little trimming, but it worked out. Now, I have fog lights off the light switch arm and fog light switch for my Vision X light bar.

    @NMR@ider76

    So when you say trimming, was it because the button was a slight bit bigger on the ‘03 switch, or is that a flip-switch that needed a tad more up/down room?

    I have a 2004 DC that doesn’t have the column mount option but does have a dummy button where you installed your switch (this is where I’m looking to put mine)[/QUOTE]

    This is what I’m working with; I don’t know for sure, but I think that the blank spot on the 04-06 was intended for those AC 115V things that I’ve seen on some models, but obviously the switch can physically fit

    Huh. I'm curious to hear more about this. I wasn't aware of a power inverter features for our trucks. Maybe a DC-only feature? I know they also got custom a/v jacks on the back of their center console to boot.

    This is what I’m referring to

    2CF5B944-2CF3-41C0-AF98-5B1410D0C7B9.jpg

    The blank spot on mine is where this member’s AC 115v is located. Everything else about their little panel there is the exact same as mine

    As far as I’m becoming aware, though it may just be for DC, the fog lights control would be on the headlight/turn signal stalk on the steering column if that option was installed. Again, I could very much be wrong

    However I’m under the impression that the switch and button off of a different sub model and/or year should fit that slot, though the fog light logo would be tilted a little to one side… which might prove to be too annoying for me because according to my friends and family… I’m “overly particular” with ~certain~ things, but not most anything else —__—

    I plan to pop that area off on mine later today and see what’s behind it. That will likely tell me what options I do or do not have, but I’m hopeful that I can use that blank for some sort of button/toggle switch

    I don’t know why, but I don’t want to replace the whole turn signal stalk if I have a perfectly good button location that’s not doing anything

    @Volt92

    I know it’s been a few years, but did you ever get that switch & button put in? If you still have the vehicle could you post a pic of the finished work?

    Alright, so yeah… there is nothing behind the dummy. No leads, no connections

    but that’s fine since @Volt92 and the others laid out the groundwork for running the wires.

    I may just admit defeat and get a salvage stalk that has the fog control… but we’ll see

    Either way this has been a very VERY useful thread

    Finally got my switch from a Toyota salvage yard.
    I was excited and hooked up the OE leads in the number and plug my new switch in.
    Put the fog light relay in the fuse box under the hood..and the fogs didn’t work?

    the switch was actually operating my LED headlights switching them from high beam to low beam.. anyone that has any input will be appreciated.

    Led headlights will make things get funky with your fog lights.
    You need one of these from @daveeasa to start with.
    Link

    The fog lights are controlled partially by the headlights and when there is a low load on the system (from LED headlights) they don't work right.

    I'd also check and see if there is a 20A Fog Light fuse underhood for the Fog Light relay.
