Howdy folks, long time listener, first time caller. I've had Tundras for the last 10 years without a problem. Worst thing I faced was a seized starter on my 2000 which I thought was a seized engine but now, now I'm ready to lose my mind. I have a 2007 Tundra 4X4 with the 5.7L and the dash is going nuts. I've Googled everything that I can to find the REAL issue here but to no avail.

My code reader is pulling the following...

PO9080- Shift C control circuit high
C1201- 1. Brake boost sensor circuit range/performance 2. Engine control system
    C1241- ABS current
C1332- Open circuit right rear wheel speed sensor.
    Secondary codes-PO011, PO012, PO014, PO015, PO016, PO017, PO018, PO019, PO021, PO022, PO025, PO032, PO101, etc.

I found the open circuit and repaired the broken wires on my right rear wheel speed sensor, not to say the sensor itself isn't bad as well but that code went away after the repair. Now getting the PO9080 and C1201 back as well as all the other secondary codes after erasing them. The truck has 268K miles and has run flawlessly up until now.

If I need to replace a shift control solenoid I can do that but what's with all the secondary codes being set? Seriously hoping it's not an ECM issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just put a new battery in. Alternator is charging at 13.2 volts which is strange to me but apparently common for these (truck has cold weather package). Most of those codes are Toyota Readiness codes which I can't find much information on other than it basically does a "systems check" on startup mainly for emissions. Not sure why they're there unless it's because the truck is in limp in mode. If the trans code is just the solenoid then that's a fix but I can't find any info on the ABS codes.

So much going on with this , I'm thinking it could be a bad ground connection(s) somewhere. Hope you figure it out soon.

Limp mode. The S3 solenoid puts it there almost instantly after clearing codes. I'll be dropping the pan this week to check the resistance and if it's throwing a code for high voltage it should have low resistance. Spec is 11-15 ohms. I was a Toyota tech back in the 90's and can still tell you how to do a set of 3 liter head gaskets but this one is throwing me for a loop. Problem is a lack of information, especially on the ABS codes.

I considered that but there hasn't been any of the usual codes that are associated with it. I was going to install the bypass just in case but I'd rather accurately fix this first.

Today was a good day. Finally got to install my $300 solenoid in the transmission. The old one tested bad and once it was buttoned up I went for a rip and BOOM, no codes and back to normal. Bad news is that now it appears that my thermostat is stuck open. Oh well, grateful to have the ability to fix this stuff at home and that I didn't have to replace the transmission.

For those of you who happen upon this thread searching for the same issue the S3 shift solenoid is Toyota part # 35240-50030. It is located in the most rear position on the passenger side of the valvebody.
