Astros bats were alive in DC. Too bad the Nats didn't have home field advantage. Might have worked out for us then. :notsure:

I can't unsee that sickly character he played in Dallas Buyers Club.

Pulling Greinke for one bad pitch (he'd just missed a bad call that should have been a strike), and putting in Harris was a bad management decision. He thought it was a good idea at the time, but it was in fact, over with then. Hinch and the Astros will be back.

The best team in Baseball can always be beat by the "Hottest" team in Baseball in any kind of series. Astros needed to score more to win period.

Thought he pulled Greinke rather quickly. Harris had been money prior to previous night. Baseball decisions either work well or not. More runs would have always helped.

Great series. As a Nationals fan for the past ten years, I'll take it. (Although I'm not a fan of Soto's antics at the plate either...)

Baseball is a really interesting game.

I can understand Hinch wanting to get out in front of changing momentum. Greinke had gone nearly seven innings, and his best pitches were behind him. He was beginning to miss a few. And, pulling him was logical...until the next batter came to the plate. Then you realized, omg, Greinke's pitching was the only thing holding back the Nationals' bats.

Astros bull pen wasn't working, bats were cold...it just wasn't meant to be this year. :(

That’s the same thing I thought at the time. Pitchers are like field goal kickers. They can go downhill pretty quick over one miss or bad pitch. Like you said, it looked like he wanted to get ahead of it.

I remember him saying something like couldnt do it, pitchers were too much of "divas" for him as he was a catcher. Instead he chose to throw at diva wr's instead.

Harris threw a good pitch to Kendrick, right where they wanted it, down & away. Kendrick did a great job hitting that pitch.

I think I must have missed the pitch. (Probably went to distract myself with Tundras.com).

The pitcher's job is to throw pitches that can't be hit by the batter, fools the batter into swiffing, or that will force the batter to hit into outs. The batter's job is to hit the ball into base hits or runs. In this case, there is one truth that cannot be denied: Kendrick did do a good job (for the Nats) hitting that pitch. :D

Yeah no doubt the astros illegally stole signs in 2017 but to insinuate that they did that for 162 games + the playoffs where the umps and mlb are looking for that is laughable. The funniest part of this whole situation is Boston fans talking crap. Like that whole patriots dynasty is shrouded in cheating scandals and controversy
