I configured a mount to carry our bikes when we are pulling our camper. Essentially I did not want to attach a bike rack to the rear receiver on our camper. So I mounted two bike frame fork mounts to a plate of aluminum after measuring to make sure our bikes fit. Got the bikes in and out of the weather and all of our camp gear packed in the bed of our Tundra. Happy Campers now.

@FirstGenVol thats a good question. Expedition portal is a good idea, and craigslist. Direct message me and I might be able to put you contact with a few folks.

Quick trip to Barton Flats Camground, Big Bear, California. It’s starting to get nippy at night.

Having so much fun tent camping, but excited for ordering Four Wheel pop-up Camper too. It was 20F one night so it’ll be nice to have some insulation. I slept like a dream though with the babbling creek white noise!

@16TRD Thanks! 3:2 lift with Kings 2.5 coilovers and Deaver U748 leafs plus added some leaves to accommodate extra weight that I carry. Currently running 35x12.5x18 BFG K02s with Method MR312 wheels. This is a HEAVY rig but we don't do hardcore rock crawling; mostly trying to access campsites and fishing holes.

Lmao!! Where we go there's no one around for miles. I can't do popular areas because of shit like that. I would've took one of his wheels off and kept the lugs before moving on hahahaha

A few months ago, but we camped in Crowsnest pass AB. Rode our dirtbikes to this crash site from the 1950’s I believe. Military DC3 flying from Comox to Halifax clipped the top of a mountain and this is the debris that fell into the valley. It is by no means a seceret spot but fairly special none the less.

That's crazy cool. It is awesome finding stuff like that. Have a similar thing on the hills by my house from some crash in the early 50's.

No idea how I’ve missed this thread till now.
We moved to Ohio on a two year job assignment for my wife about a year ago. Have only been out once here, but when we lived in Arizona, we’d camp about 4-5 days a month.

We have a little band of friends that we go with all over the Southwest - AZ, CA, NV, UT, CO. www.sgu.life You might have seen some of us pretty active in the suspension threads and stuff on here. We’re the Speed Glampers Uberfahrt. We like to Go Fast, Be Comfortable and Cross Overland.

My wife and I longest trip so far was in the summer of 2017. Lisa and I drove from Phoenix to Denver and back by dirt roads as much as possible. 2000 miles of dirt trail and 1000 miles of two lane blacktop, over 15 days. Just the two of us and our two dogs for two weeks.

We have pretty much everything we need to be comfortable on the trail for extended stays. Fridge, RTT, 110v electricity (for the coffee maker), heated running water, dual battery, ham radio, onboard air, central tire inflation, awning and room (we only use the room when we camp stationary at Tundras to Sedona), table and chairs, bed slide, probably some other stuff.

We sold our home in Missouri and have relocated to Washington. Been full time in our trailer since June. 12,000 miles of an awesome adventure. We just purchased land to build a home and will use the trailer to live onsite during the construction. Life is good!
