Well here’s an update on this 1st gen I’ve been messing around with. Just Finished the paint and moving on to suspension. Hopefully I’ll have the coil overs from Fox soon.
What do you guys think of the vintage color?

If you're getting Fox 2.5 coilovers I suggest swapping your front brake lines for Tacoma lines. They're longer and use a banjo fitting at the caliper, they join at the hard line coming off your frame and eliminates the hard line at the caliper. Wheelers Offroad can set you up.

Fox lower mounts like to bend stock brake lines, it's a bad design.

Looks great man. Love the color. What size tire are those? They look bigger than 33's.

How did you attach your bumper like that? did you take the plastic pieces off and then tac it on? I really like it and have been wanting to do something similar to my truck

I cut my fenders out first (just cut along the upper side of the square holes for attaching the fender flares) if you wanna have the inner fender splash guards when your you’ll wanna weld some tabs back onto the sheet metal (I cut the tabs off the scrap fender metal and welded them back on along the new fender profile)
Then remove the plastic which lives on the top side of the bumper. Cut the top of the bumper off, fill all the oval holes with fender metal scraps and use body filler to smooth out. I then welded pieces of angle onto the bumper to create a way to mount it to the grill/ radiator support.
You’ll then have to mock the bumper into position and cut the ends off by following the new radius of the fenders.

After a bunch of trial and error I ended up using a 25 gallon plant container for the new inner fender splash guards...B10C82C8-68F4-4F3D-B7D6-B973E35E17C0.jpg
