I'm looking to purchase a new charger to replace my Battery Tender. I like the sounds of the multi-step charging with desulphation. After researching quite a bit it makes sense to invest in that technology. Right now I'm just debating what to purchase base on quality and performance. Ctek Multi US 7002 and NOCO G7200 are sitting in my cart while I decide. Does anyone here have any experience with these better chargers?

    My current use cases follow:
    • Truck stock Toyota Battery. (Will upgrade to AGM once it dies)
    • Jeep AGM
    • Polaris Ranger stock battery (keeps dying from lack of use, hoping to recondition with this charger. Otherwise it will upgrade to AGM)
    • Lawn mower
    • RV Lifeline Deep Cycle AGM

I’m right there with you. I have the ctek ready to go but already own the NOCO jump starter and love it so I’m torn. I called Ctek and the gentleman who answered was very helpful. At least they have that going.

Did they provide a recommendation? The only thing I don't like about ctek is their site, it sucks for info.

I have the North Star AGM battery and this is the one he recommended to me.
If you call them, they can talk you through the best option for you and your needs.

I looked at both CTEK and NOCO when I replaced my Toyota battery with a Northstar NSB-AGM27F. The AGM battery arrived in undercharged condition (12.8V?). I bought the charger to fully charge it and for maintenance when the truck is garaged. I studied each charger carefully and read the Amazon reviews. I don't remember what specifically caused me to pick the CTEK 7002, but the charger went through the steps to bring the battery up to 13.8V and keeps it there. Maybe it was Jay Leno's testimonial (link below)...I'm sure he gets a big discount for his endorsement. :D

I use a CTEK charger to keep my deep cycle trolling motor batteries topped up. I'm very happy with it.

Having owned several Nocos for many years I've been very happy with them. But for the Tundra parked outside under a RV awing summer and winter with a 31r Odyssey, I went with a Battery Minder with a temperature probe. Little more pricey but I like the insides better and the outside options also.

As my Battery Tenders died off, replaced them with the NOCO genius line. That woot deal is killer.

I just purchased the Batteryminder a few days ago for my needs and works great. long warranty too. Using it on optima yellow top, walmart maxx, small 5ah 12v brick and tundra.

I also purchased one of these, happened to snag for $20 on Amazon.

    https://www.pulsetech.net/pp-12-l-powerpulse-12-volt-battery-maintenance-system.html

I figured this power pulse always connected in conjuction with occasional overnight charge from old batter tender from costco will keep the grocery getter going since it never gets a long trip charge around town.

Watch out for ctek, they will not warranty if you buy through amazon.

There was a problem years ago, and the bad reviews are there to prove it. CTEK and Amazon have worked out their differences (it was always all about the money), and Amazon is now an "authorized" retailer of CTEK products. I know because I contacted CTEK about this issue, and I was reassured that they will honor the warranty.

I'm tempted to grab a second charger for this price.

Good call. Does appear they are allowing Amazon to sell. Here is the link verifying that.

I bought the MXS 5.0. Decent price on Amazon and actually has temperature sensing. I will end up getting an Ctek "INDICATOR PANEL 3.3M" so I have a mounted point to verify charge and plug in the cord on the quad since I will be using it a lot with the winch for plowing this year.

Edit, I was pretty close to getting the Noco 2D to just have a mounted charger in the quad, but figured it would be nice to use it on other batteries, plus I'm not sure if that did the multi stage charging. It does have temp control also to modify chargning voltage.
