Well, found and purchased a truck to start tinkering with. This site has been a HUGE help in learning what I really wanted - and I got everything I wanted except the larger gas tank. Shouldn't be a big deal as this is to play with and will stay local.

2014 CM Limited with 26,xxx miles
Bone stock except it was built with the TRD Pro exhaust (someone was thinking)
Kids are already psyched to see it transform into a StormTrooper - plus I'll be storing Starscream for them to drive in 2 years...so they're really happy

Look forward to continuing to learn from you guys and apply that to this unit. Wifes happy with her QX, Vette's where I want it, Sundancer's where I want it, one graduating college this year (whew) with two to go...time for some occasional truckin'.

Thanks...good to be in another club. TRD Pro exhaust sounds good for a truck, but I'm a little spoiled with my Sunday driver sound. I'm sure though the Tundra sound is going to improve with time.

To me , IMHO, the Corvette sounds like a cement mixer full of nuts and bolts......

I have been around a "few" high hp corvettes. The owners that care about smiles from ear to ear by B.B.

LOL.....well, fortunately different strokes for different folks keeps life entertaining. That "cement mixer full of nuts and bolts" is a purposely built LS3 putting down 546rwp/492rwtq N/A - but built so it hits power very early in the curve as opposed to most that make power at high rpms. Purposely built for the twisty's of Colorado's mountains where I can go in and out of tight curves using a lot of engine for speed control. Each to their own, but she makes me smile and nothing short of a super car can remotely hang with her.

Thanks, it only has a 3/1 Ready lift leveling kit on it with 18x9 Moto Metal rims and stock tires until they wear out. Then I'll put 295x70 or 305x70 Toyos on them...

Rides very smooth, I also have the TRD rear sway bar which really helps her hold the road...

I just really enjoy the look of your car. You can tell it was purpose built. Corvettes are such fun cars that most men can afford. Pound for pound, hard car to beat for the money, especially used.

Have you ever drive the Bishops Castle run or woodland park-deckers-285 runs?

Thanks, ya it does pretty good - everything is geared for our mountain roads. Corners like nobody's business and I stayed normally aspirated because I wanted the old school aspect of pure horsepower the old fashioned way.

Haven't done those runs, I pretty much stay up in the mountains in my area. A great loop I love is Highway 14 to 125 then a quick hop on 40 around Granby onto 34 and take that thru the back side of Estes then down the face on 34....know every turn like the back of my hand...love doing it early a.m. where the two biggest obstacles are critters (4 legged variety) and watching for rocks that have rolled down. Good stuff...

I'm really looking forward to getting the Tundra geared up a bit and doing the back roads in RMNP.....undoubtedly that's going to be some good times getting well back off the beaten path in God's country...

I have been up there with my old GS Corvette. Lots of fun roads in your area. Hell, 2 weeks ago we were up in RMSP.

The Deckers run can be totally nuts. Lots of tight turns. I seen over 1.0 lateral G on my HUD display more than once....tires just burning off. Lol

Nice.....I figure if you're pulling a g+ in the turn, your having a good time. I'll have to make the time to go check out the Deckers - sounds like a good time. I need more summer time...lol. I work a 15/13 - and summer seems to just fly by. Spent the majority of the time on the boat last summer, we have it slipped at Horsetooth, then throw in some Vette seat time - and now wanting to do some back country trails in the Tundra.....oooiiiiii...Though admittedly, one of the great things I foresee with the Tundra is it's a year round toy
