The pics on the website are a little unclear. Which Tundra slider is which?

I have the rocky road sliders on my 4Runner. I like them a lot. They thick up really nice. You do have to drill a few holes in the body pinch weld. I have just the sliders, the super sliders stick out a little further like a step. IMG_0259.jpg

Those are really nice. They don't appear to stick out very far, so I assume they won't provide any door ding or shopping cart protection?

No, they don't. Wasn't that concerned with that on the 4Runner. It's pretty much just a 4 wheeling toy.
From what I understand the super sliders do protect from door dings. They tuck up just as tight to the body but have the hoop/step.

These are their super sliders. Nice and simple design.

These look great! Curious, do you have a side view or would you say they stick out enough to protect from door dings in a parking lot? If someone kicks open their door, I want it to hit the steps/bars instead of my door ha.

    Thanks!

Wow, so I did some internet webz judo and found out the skinny on the rocky road sliders. Apparently its wise to stay the hell away from them.

I saw some bad things too - mounting to pinch weld. Steering clear.

a little more involved then that... there is rust on the entire bars under the paint they need to be removed all the rust grinded off and then painted. i bought some rhino liner type stuff with the spray gun in a kit off Amazon gonna hit them with that and also thinking of doing the top of the tailgate whe it sticks out, got a couple dings in it from loading lumber. ill post some picks when its done

I got the ICI Magnums and agree with a lot of folks on here that have them. Within 4 months started to notice little spots of rust. Within. Year steps are completely covered in rust. Saw that some folks are having them covered in line-X or similar. Was quoted $400 by one outfit and $900 by another. At that price makes more sense to just buy new ones.

I live in northern va, so don’t get tons of snow. Have heard they use nasty chemicals to treat roads but geeze...

I will not be purchasing this brand again.

Tygers are awesome. Really happy after installing. The price and quality are hard to beat. Not to mention that they came from Amazon prime in two days.

Currently have the Havoc HS2. Great quality and fit, but wife decided she wants a larger step so I'm changing over to the AMP research powersteps. I pulled the HS2's today in preparation for the AMP's. If you like the hoop style steps the HS2's are really great. Screenshot_20190209-105615_Gallery.jpg

Here is what I went with. I knew I’d be buying the DiamondBack HD cover so wanted to make sure I had easy access to it from the side. Install was a breeze. Took maybe 20 minutes total.

N Fab Nerf Steps with side bed access.

I have had my Tygers on for almost two years look great and are a great choice for the price. They replaced N-Fabs. I have since replaced my Extang Solid Fold 2.0 which leaked with a Tyger Tonneau that does not.

Didn’t see a pic of the “Toyota” predator steps in this thread. I think NFAB makes them for Toyota but they are a little different than the common ones out there. The main bar is angled, not round, and it tucks up under the body well. I dropped the front of my truck off an 8” rut that I didn’t see after I had it for about a month, and figured I crushed the steps good, but nope! They’ve held up through a couple high-center situations on hunting roads.

Not the best option if you wheel, because they will scrape the ground, but probably the best-looking option I’ve seen out of the lowered-step type bars.

The predator steps look great. I'm trying to avoid installing steps but the women in my family are already complaining! I have seen the predators on Sparks Toyota website. Anywhere else that I can check for better pricing? Thanks.

I’m pretty tall for a chick so I personally didn’t need them the get in, seeing how I only have a 4” lift. But I was more worried about the wear and tear on my leather that would come with coming into contact with the side of the seat more than happens with the steps on.

I ordered mine from AutoAnything and asked in live chat about a discount on them. They gave me 10% off for asking about one.

After much consideration and reading all of the reviews here, I decided on the Go Rhino RB20 running boards rather than a step bar. The RB20s look like they sit higher than the lower profile of the N-Fab Predator plus it's harder to miss a "board" than a "step" coming in and out? Just me. I purchased the RB20s on Amazon for $391.08 and free shipping with Prime. I will post pics once installed.

Gonna revive an old one here for yall. Got my new rough country 2-step bars installed lastnight. Purchased these from my local rough country dealer for a little over his cost. Typically $399.98 on rough country's website. Running a 4" RC lift. The bars lowered my entrance step height from right about 24" to 10" off the ground. I do have a question for anyone that might have these already, how does the rough powdercoat hold up on them?Steps.jpg
