Hey guys... I come with a heavy heart for this post. My dog Lady, only 4 years old, got into something. We have her at the vet but these tests, meds, ivs, visits, treatment and care is so expensive. The money I raise really determines where we go from here. We are already at $1000, but if we continue treatment it can continue to grow in price. I wish could do it alone, but I'm just not in the best place.

I know there will be someone that will say just put her down, or it is just a dog, but please try not to go there. She is a part of my family.

All donations are welcome, big or small. Share if you can. Thank you in advance.

I started a fundraising campaign for Funds for Lady. Please PM me for information.

Your link isn't showing up right on my computer.

How long has she been at the vet? Do you know what she got into?

I've had 2 dogs poisoned, one ate a bunch of dark chocolate chips, one at a mouse that ate a bunch of rat poison. I understand what you are going through.

For what it worth my dog ate 6 lbs of chicken and had to get it cut out.
We used Care credit and it was pretty amazing. Zero interest for 6 mo.
Also, immediately after we got her pet insurance. 40 dollars a month of the most well spent money ever.

My heart goes out to you both as those are our babies.
Im rooting for your sweet baby.

Prayers for Lady to a path of full recovery. I understand where you are coming from and a family member being sick is not something any of us would want.

Good thoughts sent your way....on Monday we put our dog in for routine teeth cleaning and to remove two small skin cysts. They called and said they couldn’t control the bleeding from the tooth extraction and that the cysts were much larger than expected so the skin closure was difficult. They had to put him back under (spent 2.5 hours total under anesthesia) and pack the tooth socket with some type of coagulant.....turned into a $2500 bill so I feel your pain. I would have paid ten times that for whatever they needed to do.
If we didn’t just have the bill for beans I would send some money your way but unfortunately we aren’t in a position right now. Good luck with everything and I hope lady pulls through.

She's has been at vet for 2 days. They said it doesn't look like rat poison because she would have blotches on her gums and skin. They are thinking a medicine like advil ibuprofen , or grapes, onion, garlic. That some dogs are extremely allergic to those foods. I have other dogs that are fine as well. The xrays didn't show any foreign objects or anything wrong with her lungs, but she is breathing labored and having a hard time swallowing.

I'm really sorry you are going through this. Over the last 6 years, we have spent over 14k trying to save three dogs, the best we did was to prolong the life of one for 6 months (he had cancer, we amputated his leg) I hope you have better results.

It is really shitty not knowing the true outcome. Not knowing if we are putting her through pain, not knowing if we should let her go. They say 72 hours of fluids, that would be end of day today. It's just breaking my heart to see her so defeated.

Our previous dog (literally the best dog in the history of dogs) suffered from pancreatitis; she was at my feet while I was grilling spicy shrimp. One fell off the skewer and before I could get it she swallowed it whole. She was up vomiting uncontrollably over night and acting strange so we took her to the emergency vet. The temperature of the shrimp coming off of the grill and the spiciness gave her pancreatitis. It took 5 days in the vets office and was touch and go for days, but she started showing marked improvement after about three and a half days. I hope the same for your baby. Please keep us posted.
