So, considering that this storm has passed. I will be trying to get out to Ocala National Forest this coming weekend. Please post up if you are interested and I will make this a little more official with a meeting time and some instructions. I will just be cruising around with no particular plan. Just want to get out of the house and recreate a bit.

Please count me in! All depends on what the kids have going on, but when you know a day and time, I’d like to try to come!

excellent. I'm going to scope the forecast before committing. Most likely will be Saturday though.

Alright, so this will actually happen on Sunday. We will be leaving Gainesville at 9:30am for the Salt Springs Grocery. Should be there about 11am. I figure we cruise around for a couple of hours, have some lunch, then cruise around for another hour or so and head back. All are welcome.

I AM NOT A GUIDE. I can stumble around in the forest and get back to a paved road. If you plan on coming, PRELOAD YOUR MAPS. There is ZERO reception out there.

If you have a HAM radio, I will be on either BLUE (154.570) or GREEN (154.600) dot frequencies, depending on radio traffic. These are LEGAL, non-license frequencies. DO NOT transmit on non MURS frequencies without a license. This area has heavy radio traffic. You don't want to accidentally step on any official channels. That will lead to HUGE fines.

Sorry, but it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to make it tomorrow. The kids sprung some stuff on me tonight that we have to have done Monday morning.

Sorry, and please keep me in mind next time. Have fun!!

So it was an awesome time out. We only spent 3 hours out there, but for a day trip it was a good time. We did some trail maintenance (cut some branches that were all up in the trail), splashed around in some left over puddles, ate some lunch, flew some drone, talked with some moto dudes and checked out a dam. Let's plan something with more advanced notice so that more people could come. My Tacoma buddy came with me because he's never been off-roading. He had a great time and would like to go again.

Hey, welcome. I typically go to the Ocala National Forest, as I'm up in Gainesville. I would like to plan something before Christmas and after Thanksgiving. I always find myself needing a break during that period of time. My time here is becoming short, so I would like to plan a few more group outings. Where are you and do you off-road much?
