Thanks, it won’t be for a while. Closer to spring. The basement isn’t going to renovate it self :annoyed:. I promised my wife I would finish the renos before doing anymore truck mods (stupid I know). I did manage to slide these in before winter for ‘safety’ reasons. See what I did there.

Ok truck is looking much better outside of the shop. The sliders aren’t bulky at all! Wooo, success!

Nice job. I'll be making my own too, but using 2x2, similar to Pinay's demello sliders. did you weld yours to the frame?

@Mountun Goat , how has the rear portion of your sliders held up to weight? Do you wish you added another frame bracket behind the cab?

Man the sliders work awesome. Mind you I haven’t high centered it yet with them. I’ve def used them for laterally sliding against trees and banks in tight corners and they are straight as the day I added them. I use the rear end of the sliders to jump up into the box regularly with the roof rack as the handles for a ‘ladder’. I use the the rear tire for the other step. Comes in real handy when I have a bed fully loaded to the top of the rack for tie downs etc.
They feel rigid all the way to the rear ends so I feel it’s fine. When I eventually get to the box work I’ll add another rear bracket (when box is off frame) just cause I can :)

Sweet! They look great on there, I love the way you contoured them to the profile of the body. I'm intending to do something very similar., very soon. I saw you used 3/32" material, what are the dimensions of the tube you used?

It's tricky, cuz looking at the various manufacturers out there, they have all different styles of mounting to the frame. Some are just a few points, others look like they pretty much have a flange that mates to the frame the whole length of the slider. I want mine to be sturdy, obviously, but like a bumper, I want them to give before the frame does.

Thanks man, I love how they tuck up to the body lines also- came out way better than I was expecting. I was skeptical of the design at first, but wouldn’t change a thing now that they color match the rest of the accessories. The dimension is 2x6” tube and I feel the 3/32 is the correct thickness given weight vs strength.

That’s right I can see those points of thought, I can’t say if mine are break-away engineered haha. I forgot to mention I can jack the truck up with the sliders so they must be sturdy enough.

They are probably sufficient lol. For sure, the gradual load of jacking the truck isn't the same force as they would experience if you were to come down hard on a rock, but if they'll hold the weight of the truck as you say, they would probably fall in that middle ground that you want, where they protect the body, but don't bend the frame.

Full on man, hopefully I get some wheeling soon that proves either way. I need to explore my new region anyway :)

Looks great. I like that they cover everything.

My sliders stop a couple inches short of the front wheel well/quarter panel.
