It is effective, but stinks and is not something you want to breathe in just be careful and air it out afterwards.

Thanks buddy. I'm gonna give it a try. It's cheap enough and sounds perfect for my needs and seems to have positive results and reviews

Nice!!! Since being on these forums, I've attached myself to three brands. Carpro, Shine Supply, Waxaddict. I feel like they are more on the expensive end of the detailing products world, but well worth

Same. You get what you pay for. Those 3 make the best products in my opinion.

Got some CarPro Perl and some Giots screw-in funnels

I’d love to have grabbed some shine supply and waxaddict stuff but they don’t make it easy to ship to Canada.

I’m planning on some more optimum stuff as well although I’m a bit afraid of the tire coating.

The tire coating is definitely intimidating, as long as you have confidence that you can get the tires veryclean, you will be fine. Without shine supply wise guy I don't think I would have confidence that they are clean enough, I'm sure other tire cleaners are just as good or better, but I haven't found one that even comes close.

Argh! I don’t want to have to go through the hassle of getting the wise guy but I may have to. I like the idea of the optimum tire coat lasting so long. Especially in winter when I won’t be able to do my own proper wash.

I can get anything from Canadian Amazon, but some of it's grossly overpriced. I've been going to eshine.ca and prodetailingsupplies.ca (both of which are core suppliers on Amazon.ca which sell for way more money than their own sites - gotta pay for amazon I guess.) But the CarPro, Griots, Optimum, adams (but shipping from them is nuts) and of course the regular brands are easy. There isn't much in the way of non-chem supplies I can't get easily. Picked up a pile of Rag Co stuff. Been looking at the griots drying towel but $53 Canadian is steep for one towel even if it is big and fluffy, lol.

So far the only two that aren't easy are Shine Supply and Waxaddict which is too bad as I want some stuff from both (because of you guys of course). I'm wondering how close the optimum power clean is to wise guy? youtube shows the optimum guy using it before the tire coat but of course, the tire looked almost clean before he started. Go Marketing... It would be nice to see and independent comparison and it's hard to know who's getting paid.

I'd like the trim shield(?) from Shine Supply and the tire dressing from Waxaddict. Maybe I'll jump through the hoops and pay the extra in the spring. I won't be able to use much of this stuff for the nasty salt-addled Canadian winter anyway.

Anyway, thanks for all the time you guys put in here. It's been eye-opening.

Edit: best list of brands available is https://www.prodetailingsupplies.ca/brands
    and https://www.eshine.ca/pages/shop-by-brand

I use Optimum Power Clean for some applications, mostly household as opposed to auto detailing. It is a very strong all purpose cleaner. I have used it on tires, but it’s been quite a while. It does work on tires, but not as well as Wise Guy.
My biggest issue with Power Clean is that it’s not easy to rinse off if you use a lot, which you will on a tire. Like you said, the demonstration they show is on tires that aren’t extremely dirty to begin with. That also helps them use a lot less.

Ultimately there are plenty of cleaners that will work. Wise Guy just works better than others, and requires a lot less effort. If you want to use Optimum Tire Coating, you have to get the tire way cleaner than if using anything else.

I see Griots is available to you. Though I haven’t tried it, I’d bet their tire cleaner is good also. As a matter of fact, @robz recommended this Griots product, and said it actually worked better than their dedicated rubber cleaner:
    https://www.griotsgarage.com/product/heavy+duty+wheel+cleaner.do?sortby=ourPicks

P&S Brake Buster is available to you, and it works pretty well on both wheels and tires also.

As far as Waxaddict goes, we’re in the same boat you are. Long lead times and expensive shipping. Eshine has Poorboys World, and I’ve liked everything of theirs I’ve used. Maybe one of their tire dressings would be a good fit. Chemical Guys Tire Kicker looks identical to Waxaddict on application, but doesn’t last nearly as long.

There’s always a possibility that Shine Supply has a Canadian distributor, but I would be surprised. I’ll email them and ask for you.

I checked with Shine Supply, and they don’t have a Canadian distributor. They did say to let them know if you know of anyone who might be interested in becoming one.

They said they can ship there, if you want to give them a call or email. We do get a 10% discount, so maybe that can offset some of the shipping.

I may have to go ahead and call em. 10% off, eh? They have a wheel and tire cleaning "starter kit" with a bunch of good stuff and the trim shield. That'll be a good amount so 10% of that will likely offset the shipping. At least until the border people tag me with duties...

Yes, our discount code is “tundra10”. They have $5 flat rate shipping on orders over $100.00 to the continental US, maybe they won’t raise that too much for you.

I spoke with Coreen Acker. She’s help me out a lot before. She’s the sales manager. 877-557-5054

I wonder what it is? I thought there was a rumor a while back about their own DA polisher. I love all things Carpro so I'm excited to see what it is

I'm guessing for chrome? If it is, bummer. I think the only piece of chrome I have in my whole truck is the Toyota emblem in my grill. And I think it's chrome dipped plastic at that

All the blackfire stuff was free as well as sticker and the towel. Got good deals on the other items. The ONR arrived empty with the top slightly open, I'll email AG customer service now

Brake Buster is pretty solid. Sucks about the ONR. I know you’ve been wanting to try it.

I only use it on wheels for the most part. I’ve tried it on tires, and yeah, nothing like Wise Guy.

I have heard good things about the brake buster so I jumped on this deal, I think I paid $12 for the gallon.
I can't believe out of all the bottles to leak, it was the ONR, the one I actually wanted and paid for. I was going to try it tomorrow but that'll have to wait now. Idk if I'll ask for a refund or replacement at this point, I do love my ech2o.
The pad cleaner, conditioner, and foam booster were free gifts, the conditioner actually sounds pretty cool, I have been using carpro immolube as a pad / buffing lube but now can try this which is made for that purpose.
Question about the solutions finish...is there a marble or something inside the bottle? It sure sounds like it when I shake it. Maybe it helps mix it? I just hope it's not dried up product because it's not cheap.
My current clay mit is pretty much shot and speedmaster had a great deal on the mit and towel combo that I couldn't pass up + 25% off. I can see myself really liking the towel.
