Hi everyone, I am new to this forum, but looking for some help/advice.

I have a 2012 Tundra Double Cab and recently installed a BAKFlip MX4 Tonneau Cover. Everything installed very easily, but I now noticed that my tailgate does not close flush like it did before. However, it closes easily, not under tension.

Has anyone had this same problem? Any recommendations or advice to fix this problem?

    Thank you!

I’d guess the rails are too far back?

Just move everything forward, tail gate hitting the cover, the cover not even close

Thank you everyone. The rails are pushed back as far as possible, but the tailgate is still not flush. The more I examined everything, it seems like my bed liner is just slightly too thick on both the back part of the bed, as well as the liner over of the actual tailgate.

I believe I would either need to cut out the bed liner where the trifold rails touch the liner, or, I would need to trim the end of the rails about 1/4” to make up the difference.

    Any suggestions?
