So the township had several streets in our neighborhood repaved. Do I need to be concerned with anything from the fresh asphalt affecting my vehicle's exterior? Should I be treating the vehicles with anything special?

I would think that a good coat of wax and a protectant like 303 on your flaps will be enough to shed any oil that gets slung up. Other than that I don't think you should have too much to worry about.
