I looked for months, gave up, then started searching again and found one pretty quick. That was almost a year ago.

My son has a very nice regular cab short bed 4x4 For Sale. It has the 5.7 with bucket seats and console, 20" wheels etc. Looks new.
He is in British Columbia Canada. He bought the truck in the US so no trouble returning it. Let me know if you are interested

Thank you, but I ended up leasing a new Tacoma. I would have bought a Tundra but the regular cab was the only one that would fit in my garage and I couldn't find one. Oh well...

3” lift, black step bars, aftermarket wheels, LT305/55R20 was this way when I brought it.
In my opinion all the Tundras use the same frame
Standard cab - l8’ ong bed
Double cab - 6.5 ft bed
Crewmax- has a short bed 5.5 ft
At least this is what I think

The double cab has a standard bed that's 6.5' long. The Crew Max bed comes only with a 5.5' bed because, you're somewhat right, the frames for both are the same. But the 6.5 isn't the longest bed available. I think the long bed is 8'. And the frame for that isn't the same....

When I looked at 2nd gen trucks a few months ago, I looked a couple reg cab trucks, both had the long bed. One was white, longbed, 4.0 V6, 2wd, crank windows, vinyl floors/seat your basic white dirty work truck. Dude had it priced right, it was reasonably clean for a dirty white work truck, but wasn't what I was looking for. 2nd one I looked at was red, chrome package, long bed, 2wd, 5.7 V8, cloth bench seat, power windows, locks, well optioned. It had been in a pretty bad wreck/half of the truck had been painted on so I passed.

I bought a double cab truck instead, love all the room in the cab and a roomy back seat. Reg cab Tundras aren't bad with the bench seat, you can seat 3, cram 4 people in a pinch if you need to, there is a little bit of storage behind the rear seat. Plus a tool box with the 8' bed still leaves you plenty of room for crap in the bed.

Kinda late RCSB Tundras r very hard to find most were work truck with the 4.7 V8 or V6 they are rare which is the reason I got one toyota only made a handle from 07-10 and you could order RCSB up to 13 but theyre very hard to find and very expensive but have low miles due to them only being made to order. Tundra made RCLB from 14-16 and special order up to 18 where they finally ended the truck
