So as I am walking around my absolutely awesome TRD PRO...the most capable off road Tundra in the fleet...I notice this view. I know everyone is replacing their tires with bigger, more aggressive tires, including me...but this view is embarrassing!!! Come on Toyota! Fill this wheel well!

I have noticed that the dealerships around me are installing Terra Grapplers on the new PROs. You should have made that part of your deal with the dealership when you purchased it.

Nice tires. I'm not lifted, and they sure look to be a good ride. I hate the tires on mine. I can tell they're cheap. That's some quality shoes on that thing for the driving I do

When you buty the truck you tell them what tires you want.

They buy them and put them on along with throwing the other tires in the back.

Drive it home with nice tires

You will need spacers most likely because of the upper control arms will rub

According to this forum and YouTube a 295 will be close to the UCAs, but not rub...just the front mud flap...so that is what I’m going on.
I come from an FJ Cruiser background...so I’m just disappointed in Toyota for not making the PRO different...tire wise. At least the FJ TRD models were given a BFG AT instead of the standard Michelin. A hair bigger, a hair more aggressive??? Just saying, for a pushing $60k off road machine, to have 32” street tires is embarrassing...nobody likes to talk Raptor...but it has 35s factory, right? And according to the “tire poll” 65% of us will change tires immediately...so maybe Toyota will listen! Just my .02!

They wont due to poor fuel economy with E load tires

I better check mine. I have 2017 TRD Pro rims on 285/65/18 BFG KO2s on 5100s all the way around. I have the front on top setting. I just got my Bora 1" spacers yesterday. I will install spacers tomorrow.

I had 295 70 18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers and loved the look but hated the ride and fuel economy......went back to the stock Michellin LTX at2 and love the ride and power is back as well as fuel economy but now I'm looking at Nitto Terra grapplers G2s 295 70 18 and they only weigh 53 lbs vs 63lbs but what I have now are 41lbs

Ford didn’t just slap bigger tires on the raptor. It is a completely different truck. Different suspension, body panels, wheel well dimensions etc.

Toyota would have to add factory 4.88 gears to do bigger tires. The cost of doing that in production for so few trucks wouldn’t be worth it.

I've said this multiple times and some of the purists here got butthurt. Shame on Toyota for putting these tires on the Pro. There is no reason someone should have have to shell out money for decent tires after paying 60k.

They already have worst in class fuel economy, might as well own it.
The TRD Pro 4Runner comes with Nitto all terrains.

If toyota put 275/65/18 ridge grapplers on the pro, be honest, we would all be saying they look too small
