I PM’d you coordinates for a good shooting location. For camping, Mount Lemmon is good for late spring through early fall. Elevations range from around 3500-8000’. There is also Peppersauce Canyon campground that has a huge cave complex close to it. Peppersauce is about 5000’. Patagonia State Park is also nice but can get crowded. Reservations are recommended.
The north and east sides of town are the “desirable” areas. For food, there are good places in just about every part of town depending on what your looking for.
I can’t really help regarding apartments.
From now until April weather will be amazing. Feel free to PM me if you have other questions.

East side Tucson here. For shooting we like Gardner Canyon, also good trails. My go to for close camping/fishing is Parker Canyon Lake. Nice area, not as crowded as Patagonia, decent fishing, and at about 5000' not too bad when it's 100+ in Tucson.

I run a kayak fishing group named "Southern Arizona Kayak Anglers "...can find us on Facebook. I hold monthly bass fishing tournaments via any of the five So Az lakes. If any of you guys are interested, hit me up.
