didn't have much luck finding anything on this so if there's something about this issue would someone point me in the right direction but my fog lights seem very shaky when I'm driving kind of annoying seeing the lights bouncing all over the place

A little of this and a little of that.
I would take them out and check the housing that holds the bulb in place. Make sure it is secure.

Yes I had this same annoying thing on mine. I just pulled the liner and threw some zip ties on the 2 side mounts. Shake fixed!!!

My first gen has wiggly fog lights. Ain't done nothing about it though. Been working on my 4x4 vehicle recently.

https://youtu.be/YxsQPpwHgeA looks like your not the only one. A lot of people are taking and putting 3m double sided tape to hold them from shaking.

Very common. Pretty simple fix. If you went from chrome bumper end caps to painted bumper end caps, you can buy these blue clips to help cut down on the movement. I experienced the shakey fog lights after I went from chrome to plastic painted bumper ends, so I purchased the blue clips. On one, the blue clip worked really well and cut down on nearly all the play. On the other, it only cut down on about half. So, for reassurance, I ran a zip tie from the black plastic fog light shroud around the black metal "bowl" bracket. The zip tie really locks them down and I have literally zero movement in any direction now, even when grabbing the outside of the black plastic and pulling.

    Blue clip part number: 753920r010 : https://parts.toyotaofcoolsprings.com/oem-parts/toyota-side-molding-retainer-clip-753920r010

Yea, definitely on topic to this thread. Just thought it was funny.

Well now I'm curious but not giving that guy the view...someone give me the spoiler - did the dealer fix his jiggle? o_O

Nope. Said it was common thing and nothing they could do. So he said thanks to viewers should have listened to them and will be trying 3m tape to try to secure. I don't use my fog lights unless it's foggy and haven't notice anything. But mine are stock. Most issues are after upgrades to led lights. I want to upgrade all lights to led so been trying to see what issues I am going to be running into in the future.

Exactly. I did the conversion on my bumper ends a year and a half ago and never noticed any jiggle on the road. However, when I was just recently upgrading to the 2018 LED fog lights, I figured better safe than sorry now that there will be a cutoff, which I assumed would make any play more noticeable than just essentially a flood pattern.

I just noticed that both of the fog lights on my 19 TRD Pro are shaking. I am going to try the zip tie fix. Let’s see if I can stop the shake. Thanks.

I have the same issue with mine, but they are the Rigid Ind. SAE lights. They were not very obvious before because they were dim as hell, but with the RI lights, they are much brighter, and the stock headlights are horrible, so the jiggliness drives me nuts when I'm camping and hunting. Driving around town isn't so bad because it's drowned out by ambient light. Thanks for the tips!

I have this same problem. Took to dealer on 30 Aug for 10000 mile check and asked to have this looked at. Ofcourse same response, all the trucks are loose like this. Well, duh, its a manufacturing defect. So, i got a Toyota survey and mentioned this and i got a phone call today from Toyota Care to open service ticket. They will do a follow up tomorrow with me. They said they are going to escalate this problem since i said it was a defect. Will see what happens. I will post results here when i get an answer.

I have this issue with my Rigid foglights on my 2019 TRD PRO too. Not happy about it. Especially when you pay 60K for a truck made for the off road, but the fog lights shake while on washboard roads?!? My buddies were not impressed. Thanks for showing how to fix it, just pissed about it.

Have an appointment for Wednesday morning to get this issue with the Rigid Fog lights. Service Advisor at dealership thought It would be good to call Toyota tougher a case started which I just took care of. Will keep you posted on the outcome of the service.

Took my Tundra to Wilsonville Toyota for service Wednesday morning. Didn’t hear anything until about 4:00 PM when the Service Advisor started to tell me that this is normal play for the fog lights and there wasn’t anything they could do to fix the issue. I said huh, Ok. Hung up the phone. 15 minutes or so go by and he calls back saying he just talked to the shop Forman and the decision was made to replace the sub bracket assemblies and clips. He said the parts were ordered and I can either pick up truck or leave it with them. I told him as long as I had a loaner vehicle to get home that I would leave it with him. This morning I get a call from their parts department telling me that the parts that I ordered are in and ready to be picked up. I told the Parts person that my Tundra was there for service and the parts were for an open repair order. ( Which I thought was strange ) Ok, so I don’t hear anything all day until I am ready to leave work and go home. My Service Advisor calls and said that parts that came in this morning were the wrong ones and they had to re-order the correct parts which came in at 3:00 PM and they were currently working on my Tundra and it would be done by 7:00 PM. When I got there my Service Advisor started to tell me that some of the Toyota accessories like the Rigid Fog lights are installed at the Port. I told him that i thought he was wrong and that Bed liners, Tonneau covers and step bars come from the Port but the Rigid fog lights are installed in San Antonio. I went to get in and drive off until I noticed bird crap on the hood so, I got him to run it through the car wash. Anyway they fixed them. They are much tighter.

Returned from an overlanding trip and noticed when I hit smooth pavement near dusk after airing up my 2019 TRD Pro suffers the fog light jiggle as well. I'll try the zip tie method first, but yeah the fog light jiggle is not cool and I tend to focus on it when driving at night.

I did not notice mine so much until I went LEDs. Heck with the halogens I could not even tell they were on.. The problem is the fogs are free floating because they are adjustable.

I just finished zip-tying them. The Rigid LEDs came stock with mine and didn't move until I went offroading. The blue insert didn't seem to be doing anything at all and felt like it was about to fall out, the entire LED case was so lose it felt like it was about to fall out on the driver side. They are are now in tight with 2 zip ties on each side of each the LED FLs. I may need to adjust them once it gets dark and I have a chance to test because I was too lazy to turn my truck around and test it in the garage. I'll probably regret that, but we'll see. I guess I just need to get a metal front bumper with a winch to resolve this :)

Somehow mine came loose again. Seems even the Toyota dealership can’t fix it correctly. Time to fix it myself.

Just got my 2018 a few weeks ago and noticed this. First thing i did was come here to see if it was common problem. ( BOOM) Forum friends resolved another issue Toyota should have.
Went with the 2 way tape method and resolved it very well. Super tight for now....
Cheers to all of you on this awesome forum.

I can't seem to locate a thread showing the 2 way tape method.. Can someone post a link to a thread showing this? My 2018 is shaking like crazy. It's been driving me nuts for over a year now. I have bumper skins on so I'm hoping to find a permanent repair that does not require me to pull the skins off. Thanks all..

Pull the liners off and wire tie them. I did not notice any shaking until I went to LEDs. Of course I did not even know the halogens were on.

Toyota uses a felt type cushion to reduce vibration sounds in the glove box for the platform. They could have easily incorporated a similar, more durable material placed at the mounting areas of the Tundra’s fog light.
I cleaned the plastic surfaces and used 3M tape in 3 specific locations to take up the ‘slop’ that causes the fog light wiggle.
    1. Bezzle to bumper.
    2. Bezzle to fog light housing.
    3. Light adjustment shaft.

This correction took up the slack in all three areas that are causing the wiggle.
