    Good day,

I have a 2008 Tundra SR5 5.7 Eng and I have a squealing coming from the engine, I get this mainly first cold start and it will go away, but today I wanted to find out what may be the cause. So after washing my truck down with the water hose, the truck started squealing and as I checked each pulley in the engine compartment I was able to narrow it down to the Power Steering Pump... or Pulley as I sprayed a little WD-40 on each pulley till finally the noise went away and on all tests the pulley on the PS pump...

Now, my question is can I change just the pulley or do I need to change the whole pump as well?

I checked the fluid and it is clean and good
belt looks good no ripples, fray or cracks
I checked to see if any play in any of the pulleys and no play as well no wobbling when running
Plus steering wheel is not tight and has no issues

I will say that when the WD-40 hits the front of the pulley near the center bolt the squeaking stops immediately.

Thank you in advance and hopefully I gave enough information.

Tighten up the belt. I have no clue except for the wife's Lexus and the PS pump is on it's own belt

I'm betting its the belt tensioner. I recently replaced mine due to some squeeking. The belt tensioner is a known issue..

Belt tensioner is good bet. Probably only good for 80k miles. Change belt at same time.

Good day, I was able to change out the belt tensioner and serpentine belt, this seemed to have fixed the issues. Again, Thank you very much to all for the comments.
